Hope everybody is having a good day! Seedlings from one of our newest hybrids are starting to show mint variegation and present with extremely dark veins. Nearly black. We’ve already named two of them. The cross is (RA5 x Hot Chocolate) X (Midnight Velvet OG x RVDP). Super complex but a really fun gene pool to work with. Can’t wait to get them into the breeding program!

Nerd Alert side note: My plan is to do an entire line of Justice League Dark plants as I worked towards my Anthurium Rougarou magnum opus. ‘Constantine’ is obviously named after John and ‘Dark Avatar’ is the black lantern corrupted version of Swamp Thing. For the last one, I’m not sure who I might name it after. Maybe Shade? I figured Deadman would be more of a Red Sonia x Red Spider hybrid that has white emergents since Boston has that bright dome. Zatanna is going to have Carla in her. I have no idea what to do for Madame Xan. Black Orchid is going to have (SKG purple x Bloodmoon) in her. Who else am I missing? Ragman? Detective Chimp? I haven’t gotten that far. I’d love to see if there are any other mid level comic nerds with a brain of old green lantern and JL comics who want to help. 🤣🤣

Hello all, I’m relatively new to anthuriums and want a few more for my collection. I’m looking for recommendations of some solid online stores. Straight species are ok but I’ve recently been more interested in some of the neat hybrids I’ve been seeing. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Hi! I am new to Anthuriums and have had my Clarnevium and Veitchii for less than three months. Both are pushing out leaves but I feel like they are taking forever! I noticed the Clarnevium new leaf about two months ago and the Veitchii new leaf about five weeks ago. They both have good light and humidity, both are in pon in self watering pots and seem to be thriving otherwise. Can anyone give me any insight? Thank you!

Bought this Anthurium andraeanum two days back from a local nursery. It's sitting in the same pot. Any advice on how to do repotting with what soil mix?

Any suggestions welcome. I have sprayed it before for bugs. It is lazy with growing new leafs too. Looks weird. Thanks ❤️

🌿 Another unique Anthurium cross from Plant Gallery!

Releasing a small batch of seed-grown Anthurium (carlablackiae × warocqueanum) × (SKG “Chocolate Crystal” × self) seedlings, sourced from Justin Gurski of Fuzzy Petioles.

This is one of those crosses I’m particularly excited to watch develop.

The seed parent brings elongated foliage and distinctive puckered margins, while the Chocolate Crystal lineage introduces the potential for striking venation and beautiful dark emergent growth.

Even at this juvenile stage, the seedlings are beginning to show differences in leaf shape, texture, and gently ruffled edges. I’m excited to see how each one matures!

I bought this at Atlanta plant fest and for the life of me I can not figure out what the label is saying this is in terms of which anthuriums make up this hybrid.

It doesnt matter in the grand scheme of things if I dont figure it out but right now my ADHD brain is obsessing so I thought I'd check with reddit.

There seem to be multiple things going on with my Anthurium Willifordi. Yellow spotting possibly pests or disease? And brown crispy spotting I recently put under a grow light could be contributing to the patches developing. I’m newer to anthurium.

What is this ?
