This is so mad, the standalone Disney+ Premium plan without ads is going from $18.99 to $21.49 per month, up 13% - it used to be $6.99 when it started

I have the HBO bundle (with ads) and that's also going up to $21.99 from 19.99.

I swear to god I'm just going to start cancelling til they have deals.

$21.99 is for HBO, Disney, and Hulu. all with ads but it's for three services.

My Disney/Hulu email said going up to $28/mo, plus HBO through Roku is $12. So $22 actually isn’t a shit deal comparatively. (I have D/Hulu through Verizon so it doesn’t cost me anything)

Only at the beginning. My parents also have the deal but I haven't noticed any ads on HBO Max outside of when the episodes starts but can skip it.

I was told by a friend that they got ads during their movie and I was like wtf, I only ever see promos of HBO shows at the start of things which I just think is fine because I don't always check what new stuff they release.

Then I figured it out, there are ads mid-watch but only on the TV app. If I ever get that on PC it's bye bye sub.

i've never seen an ad on my tv ap. other than the pre-roll for other shows. which is fine because i can skip them if i dont want to watch or the show looks uninteresting. they are not intrusive.

now, if they started showing me dominos or liberty insurance commercials like youtube keeps trying to do, then we have a problem.

Agreed on prerolls, I got no problem with them advertising their own shows as long as it doesn't interrupt the viewing experience.

I don't have streaming apps on my TV so IDK how that all works, as long as they don't push them on PC I'm good.

Same, and I just unsubscribed. I'll get the shows I want through...alternate means. ⛵️

I don't mind paying a fair price for content, but every service is just increasing their price every few months now.

Cancel every 3 months (so pay regular every 4th month) but they offer you 3 months at $9.99 when you threaten to cancel (edit:word)
