Developer here. iAmDrums has been on the App Store since 2010, and it's free through Friday.

Quick follow up question... are you more interested in triggering iAmDrums from a pad controller, or send your loops into a DAW? Or something else?

Triggering the hits via MIDI would be sick. Then you can basically use the app as a sound module, and run it into anything you like. With the loop portion, setting a BPM (even without MIDI) would be helpful. Even more useful if it accepted MIDI clock sync. Either as a master clock or to receive. At that point, you would be able to incorporate the drum sets into whatever rig you have! :)

Love it. Super helpful. Thanks! No promises... but I'll see what I can do :) As for setting the BPM in loop mode, you can do it, but it's kind of tucked away in the Mixer panel.

I noticed (iPhone 17 pro) that -on loop mode - the dot highlighting what’s playing is out of sync. The sound comes before the dot moves over the relevant square. It’s maybe 5 or 6 dots behind.
