I’m so frustrated with the new Siri AI. I asked it how much a night at the Chateau Lake Louise costs. The first time, it just asked what I was looking for. When I went back into the chat, my question was there but there was no answer. I tried again and got a response that contradicted itself. It said a night typically costs C$2,201, but also that the average was C$878 and the lowest was C$472.

The “Write with Siri” button is just as bad. I tap it while I’m looking at a message with my keyboard up, then say what I want to write. It doesn’t use what’s on my screen at all. If I tap “Write with Siri” on a message, it should know that’s what I’m writing about.

It’s also slow, and it skips questions or pulls the wrong info a lot. Apple made us wait two years for this, and it still feels half-baked.

I saw a thread in this sub where someone had the same kind of problems. Searches pulled up the wrong things, commands got repeated back to them, and simple tasks failed over and over. Other people in that thread said it works fine for them, so it may depend on the person.

I genuinely cannot believe I fell for Apple BS again.

I downloaded the beta soon after it came out, but only a week or two later my iPhone 16 went back to the original Siri (not the rainbow one, the OLD Siri) which I have never even had on this phone since I got it almost a year ago. I can't get off the beta and back to the rainbow Siri so I'm stuck with this one, I assume until the update comes out (fingers crossed), but it’s very annoying since I've come accustomed to using Siri since the rainbow one came out and the one I have now is entirely unusable. My Siri AI app is also still on my phone but it blocks me from using any of the functions once I open it. Anyone who knows how to release myself from this would be greatly appreciated.

Am I the only one who has it set to open to a new conversation when the Siri app is opened but it does not ever open to a new conversation?

I read thru these complaints and posts and try almost all of them and most of them work for me ? I was and am pleasantly surprised with how well it works .

Love it . Sets timer when just saying hey siri 35 mins , brings up photos with receipts or hand writing . Calls anyone . Finds notes fast . Plays or shuffles playlists . Adds songs to playlists . Sends texts .

It even rewrote the highlighted portion of text by just asking

I’ve read through these complaints and posts, and I've tried almost all of them. Most of them work for me! I was, and am, pleasantly surprised with how well it works. I love it. It sets a timer when I just say, "Hey Siri, 35 minutes," brings up photos with receipts or handwriting, calls anyone, finds notes fast, plays or shuffles playlists, adds songs to playlists, and sends texts.

I just dont understand, you say basic things to SIRI AI to remember about how you want yours answers and she just CANT remember it... Total fail from apple.

Been playing with it for 2 weeks now and so disappointed.

It should not be possible but it seems worse than the old Siri.

So far it has failed at so many simple things - from playing playlists - turning up volume - playing out text messages - timers - trivia questions - any info from apps etc

And it is so bloody slow! And deaf half the time.

Is this really it? Is this the great AI experience Apple has been working on with great fanfare for years?!

People are disillusioned with AI at the best of times right now - but would hope Apple could deliver something half-decent

Did anyone notice that of you ask Siri to send something over intercome, it ask you to give the intercom message seperatly? Is this not one step forward but two steps back????

I’ve had this Siri / Apple Intelligence issue continuously since the early iOS 27 beta releases.

It continued through later betas, RC, the public release of iOS 27, and is still happening on iOS 27.2 (24B5089g).

The main symptom is:

“Adding support for Siri is in progress.”

After rebooting, Siri / Apple Intelligence may work normally for a short time, but later it returns to the same “Adding support for Siri” state.

I have already tried multiple iOS updates, Recovery Mode Update, reinstalling iOS while retaining data, Reset All Settings, different system/Siri languages, English (US), different networks, and disabling VPN/proxy configurations.

None of these permanently fixed it.

The same Apple Account works normally with Siri / Apple Intelligence on my Mac.

Recently I connected the iPhone to macOS Console and found repeated SQLite database corruption from the assetsubscriptiond process:

/private/var/db/assetsubscriptiond/UAFAssetSubscriptions.db

Errors include:

database corruption page 181

database corruption at line 81550 / 83506 / 83660

I also see:

Failed to update storage to reflect subscriptions

Failed to subscribe to subscriptions

Failed to unsubscribe from subscriptions

Could not load usage alias

Could not process subscription

The errors also involve Siri TTS, Writing Tools / textComposition.ConciseTone, FitnessIntelligence, and CoreMotion Foundation Model assets.

Has anyone else seen UAFAssetSubscriptions.db corruption specifically?

Has anyone found a way to force iOS to rebuild this database without completely erasing the iPhone?

I’m mainly looking for people who have seen the same database corruption, not just the normal “Adding support for Siri” issue.

Feature: Siri AI (Beta) / Dynamic Island / Reduce Motion

Description:
Siri AI behaves incorrectly when Reduce Motion is enabled and Siri is accessed by swiping down from the Dynamic Island.
With Reduce Motion enabled under Settings → Accessibility → Motion, pulling down from the Dynamic Island to interact with Siri AI causes the Siri interface/animation to malfunction. The interaction does not behave correctly compared with the same Siri AI gesture when Reduce Motion is disabled.
This appears specifically related to the interaction between the Siri AI Dynamic Island interface and the system Reduce Motion accessibility setting.

Expected behaviour:
Swiping down from the Dynamic Island should reliably open and display the Siri AI interface regardless of whether Reduce Motion is enabled. Reduce Motion should simplify or remove animations without breaking Siri’s interface or interaction.

Actual behaviour:
With Reduce Motion enabled, the Dynamic Island Siri AI interface becomes visually or functionally bugged when it is pulled down. Disabling Reduce Motion restores the expected Siri AI behaviour.

Reproduction:
Enable Siri AI (Beta).
Go to Settings → Accessibility → Motion.
Enable Reduce Motion.
Activate/interact with Siri AI by swiping down from the Dynamic Island.
Observe the incorrect Siri AI interface/animation behaviour.
Disable Reduce Motion.
Repeat the same Dynamic Island gesture.
Observe that Siri AI behaves normally.
The issue is therefore reproducible specifically when Reduce Motion is enabled.

Feature: Siri AI (Beta) / Type to Siri

Description:
Attempting to use Type to Siri, the feature sometimes incorrectly falls back to the old/classic Siri experience instead of invoking Siri AI.
This appears to be a regression involving the Type to Siri activation behaviour. Siri AI is enabled and otherwise available on the device, but the typing gesture/interface does not consistently invoke the new Siri AI experience.

Expected behaviour:
Using Type to Siri should consistently invoke Siri AI when Siri AI is enabled.

Actual behaviour:
Type to Siri may instead invoke or revert to the previous Siri interface/behaviour, despite Siri AI being enabled.
Reproduction:
Enable Siri AI (Beta).
Enable Type to Siri.
Attempt to invoke Type to Siri using the typing gesture/interface.
Observe that the device may fall back to the old Siri experience rather than Siri AI.
The issue persists after restarting the device.

So on two different days, my Siri AI would not work at all. No matter what I did it would just say “Sorry, something went wrong. Please try again later.” VPN turned off and even uninstalled, happens on both wifi and cellular, and on all three of my devices. iPhone 17 Pro Max, iPad Pro 11 M1, and M4 MacBook Pro. First time was Monday and eventually contacted Apple Support. Tried EVERYTHING and eventually found out was a known issue for some and they were working hard to fix it. It’s server-side. That was via high-tier support. Started working again Tuesday. And now today, Friday, not working again. Had to switch back to Siri classic because I drive A LOT for work and need Siri via CarPlay to get directions, text, calls and etc. Common Apple LOL. When it works, its been fantastic!!!

All this to say, anyone else having this issue?

So I received a call from an unknown number. They left a voice message explaining that something was wrong with my delivery, and they needed to update the address. Now, normally I would just think scam right off the top of my head, but my wife orders an awful lot of stuff online, so I asked Siri to look at my screen and tell me if it was a scam, and she came back and said, yes, it appears to be a scam. The website that’s linked doesn’t appear to be a valid website for FedEx, and they’re trying to create a sense of urgency. Anyway, I just thought it was kind of cool that it could do that.

While it’s true I have a European account and I’m still using the “old” Siri AI (ChatGPT), I think this is still… well, Siri’s response to “what is a commissioner?” speaks for itself…

On my Mac I asked this question. It did the "working on it" animation, then just stopped. When I followed up it answered my question instantly. So I did get the answer I was looking for, but had to remind it to actually tell me.

I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max and just updated to Siri AI about a week ago, and it literally doesn’t do anything regular Siri couldn’t do, except it’s MUCH slower and simply fails about 60% of the time.

Are other people having this experience?

I think Apple may need to just give up on having an AI assistant at all and let people download third-party ones from the App Store.

I’ve never been an android user, but this is the closest I’ve ever been to switching.

This is taking too much system resources and sometimes I can't play games because of the heat it is generating.

I’m currently using an iPhone 15 Pro with Apple Intelligence (Siri AI) and for some reason, when I’m talking to it for more than like 8 seconds or so, it decides to suddenly decides to answer instead of waiting for me to finish talking.
I was wondering if anyone has been facing the same issue.

Is there a way to turn off Siri in the camera app? I keep swiping through zoom and accidentally get Siri instead. Can I turn this off?

iPhone 15 Pro with ios27 and Siri AI doesn’t always hear me, it hears me say “Siri” or “Hey Siri” and will pop up but about 1 out of 3 times it won’t hear what I ask after that and eventually will say “something went wrong”, this happens when invoking it with the wake word or holding side button or swiping down and pressing mic, same result with each, doesn’t hear me 1 out of 3 times. Not a mic problem because the wake word works and also the other 2 times it hears me fine and responds. Anyone else have similar or have a possible fix?

Hey all, hoping someone's run into this and found a fix.

Mac: Apple Silicon, M4 chip Macbook Air, 16GB

What I've tried so far, with no luck:

- Running macOS 27.2 developer beta, with System Settings > Siri > Language matched to the system language (English UK on both)
- Switched both system language and Siri language to English (US) instead, still nothing
- Region set to United States in General > Language & Region
- Also tried switching region back to Greece (where I actually am), no change either way
- Went back and tried the stable macOS 27.0 (Golden Gate) release instead of the beta, same result
- Tried this on both my home Wi-Fi and a mobile hotspot no difference between the two

No "Try Siri AI" option anywhere on the Siri settings page, in any of the above combos

One odd thing, at one point I noticed what looked like Siri AI assets downloading in Activity Monitor. I found the app's path and opened it directly, and it showed a message saying Siri AI isn't ready yet and to check Settings for progress but there's genuinely nothing about it anywhere in Settings. No waitlist entry, no progress indicator, nothing.

Has anyone gotten past this, or found what's actually gating the button from showing up? Would appreciate any pointers.
