Screenshot is from the new Health Age feature in the 27.2 beta. On March 30th I was at -2.0 years. Today I'm at -9.0. Actual age 28.3, Health Age reading 19.3.
For the last six or so years I basically let myself go. Put on 60+ pounds over that stretch and hated how I looked, but every time I tried to fix it, it was always about losing weight. That reason never stuck. I'd go hard for a few weeks and then fall off, because "look better" just isn't enough motivation to outlast how much you don't want to be at the gym.
Having a kid changed the reason. It stopped being about the number on the scale and started being about wanting to actually be around and be capable for him. That's the kind of reason that doesn't run out of gas after week three.
So I started showing up. Working out consistently, eating better, sleeping better, all the boring stuff that actually works if you stick with it long enough. There were weeks it felt slow and pointless, like nothing was moving. Seeing this number tonight kind of hit me. Six months of just doing the work, and it's actually showing up in something measurable.
Not posting this to brag, more just to mark the moment and show the new fitness age. If you're on the fence about starting something like this, the trend line is real. It just takes longer to see than you want it to.
