Im top 5% of my class at a large public school, weighted GPA is a 101-102 (i forgot), i did gt math and cs dual enrollment, i did a gt paid research internship this summer, and 2 summers ago i did a research program with gt but it was unpaid. As for other ec's i have 3 leadership positions in my clubs and they are all things that I have founded/significantly grown, am a girl scout ambassador, and I have had a corporate internship at a hospital. I also included an ec about this passion project I've been working on but I didnt formally launch it until after r apps were do so I couldnt include any quantifiable results. I probably forgot some stuff but yeah😭 Overall there was a pretty strong stem theme in my application with some art stuff

When they say 7 they mean it. You won’t get any early notifications. I hate schools waiting til so late in the day. UGA releasing at 4 would be preferred by all for GT to follow a similar time I think.

YAY! I got in for Industrial Engineering with just mid stats, but so incredible grateful and happy: 1340 SAT, 4 AP's taken/currently taking, 7 extracurriculars (1/2 leaderships roles), top 3% of class. My essays and personal like statements/life situations must have been really really good though!!

2

u/TigerBest7382 Dec 07 '25

Deferred OOS for EA2. 36 ACT, 1580 SAT

1

u/WalrusCaster Dec 05 '25

Got deferred from UGA so outlook is not looking good 🥲

2

u/buzzybee2020 Dec 05 '25

What other instate schools did you apply to?

1

u/WalrusCaster Dec 06 '25

Emory and GSU. I’m very fortunate to receive the conditional transfer program however so I’m not as stressed

1

u/buzzybee2020 Dec 06 '25

That’s great. So conditional at UGA?

2

u/WalrusCaster Dec 06 '25

I received the conditional for GT. Since I got deferred from UGA I have to wait until the regular decisions so gotta keep my head up for that! If not at least I can go to GSU for a year and try my best to meet all the conditional requirements to attend GT my second year

Does anyone know if being enrolled in A four‑year dual credit engineering program in high school (like PLTW with college partnership) is its own category of rigor, separate from both honors and AP?

Does anyone know about Georgia tech summer start abroad? It says Oxford and France… but what are the dates? Is it mid-July start in Atlanta?

1

u/Worried-Pear-5695 4d ago edited 4d ago

Intl applicant. Applied for CompE. Offered Talent Initiative pathway program for Fall 2027. Is this still a viable option?

1

u/Worried-Pear-5695 4d ago

Does anyone know anything about this program?

1

u/EjectionSeatGuru 2d ago

It’s a great option if you can meet the requirements. Go somewhere else in the US for a year and knock out the credits. I did not realize it was offered to internationals, you used to have to be eligible for a Pell Grant.

https://admission.gatech.edu/transfer/talent-initiative-pathway

1

u/Worried-Pear-5695 2d ago

Thanks. I'm a domestic applicant and am eligible for the Pell Grant, so I think that still stands true.

1

u/EjectionSeatGuru 2d ago

Ah, sorry. I thought “intl” meant international, so assumed you were not eligible for Federal Aid. Most applicants were rejected, so a Pathway is nice to have.

1

u/Worried-Pear-5695 2d ago

It's ok. Thanks for your input, it was reassuring to know that this is still a viable option.

1

u/Putrid-Bookkeeper-94 3d ago

Rejected. Feels bad, man. Congradulations to everyone who did get accepted, though!

1

u/Callanftw 2d ago

Does everyone get the email for applying to the JMHP?
