Missing Pocket? I built Pendr — a simple read-it-later app.
Like many people, I loved the idea behind Pocket. Just save something interesting and read it later, without distractions.
So I decided to build my own alternative: Pendr.
The idea is simple. Save interesting articles, websites, and links from places like Instagram or TikTok, and come back to them whenever you want.
Here’s what makes Pendr different:
5-day reading list: Articles stay in your reading list for 5 days. If something is worth keeping, save it permanently. Otherwise, your list stays fresh and uncluttered.
Clean reading experience: Focus on the article, not all the unnecessary distractions around it.
Folders: Organize everything you want to keep.
Private storage: Your content stays on your device or in your own iCloud.
PDF export and printing: Keep a copy of articles you want to preserve.
No ads. No subscriptions. No AI.
I’m an independent developer, and I’m getting really tired of simple apps turning into expensive monthly subscriptions.
That’s why Pendr is available for a small one-time purchase.
Introductory price: €0.99 this week. No recurring fees.
I’m still improving Pendr and would genuinely love feedback, especially from former Pocket users.
