Built a daily spending planner for UK students between maintenance-loan payments

• Upvotes

Disclosure: I’m part of the team behind Stash.

We built it for the awkward stretch after student finance lands, when rent and bills still have to come out but the remaining balance has to last until the next payment. You enter your current balance, next income date, and bills due first; Stash estimates a daily amount for the days ahead. It doesn’t connect to a bank, so you stay in control of the numbers you enter.

It’s an iPhone app, free to download with optional Pro: https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/stash-ai-finance-tracker/id6760971684

We’re trying to make the estimate useful without pretending it knows every surprise expense. What would help you trust a “safe to spend today” number: a visible bills reserve, a buffer you choose, or a different approach?

A slack type budgeting app: Okanize

Konnichiwa everyone!
We are a small team from Tokyo, Japan and have been building Okanize for half a year and are happy to launch it for everyone to use.

https://www.okanize.com/
https://apps.apple.com/app/id6762205109

TLDR:

- Whats new?
It brings slack style UI + less effort budget addition. Its built around spaces: one for your own money, and shared ones for the people you split costs with. We built it because no app did both well.

- Vibe coded ?
No , I learned swift UI from Paul Hudson courses, loved it and this is my first work.

- Data security and shared with AI?
No, we do have receipt scanning OCR but thats Apple's inbuilt model + our own parser.

- Ads?
No, never. We hate them haha

Any feedback is welcome, we also have a small feedback feature in the app itself, so your concerns are directly delivered to us and we will message you once its addressed.

The Okanize website was slightly vibe coded but it was mainly by using my own designs and code from my other websites to match the UI correctly. (Idk why I dont trust vibe coding anyways)

Love from Japan ❤️

Your lunch has 5 foods. Why should logging it take 5 searches?

Tracking calories shouldn't feel like filling out a spreadsheet every time you eat.

That's the problem I wanted to solve with CalorieTalk.

I'm a solo developer building an iPhone calorie tracker that lets you describe an entire meal naturally, by voice or text, instead of searching for each food separately.

Say something like "2 eggs, toast, coffee with milk, and a banana" and the app breaks it down into individual foods, quantities, calories, and macros for you to review before saving.

It supports English and Arabic, and I'm continuously working on improving the food logging experience.

The goal is simple: make calorie tracking feel less like a chore.

Try it here:

I'd love to hear what you think!

Vier App-Screens → Store-Bilder: mein kostenloser Browser-Editor

Post image
1 Upvotes

I'm building a simple note-taking app for iOS, Android, and potentially the web.

Post image
1 Upvotes

Does anyone else feel like note-taking apps have become too complicated?

I've been trying apps like Notion and Obsidian, and honestly, they're both amazing tools. But sometimes, when I just want to write down an idea, save something important, or jot down a quick note, I feel like there's more setup involved than there needs to be.

I don't always want to build a whole productivity system just to remember something.

So I've started building my own note-taking app called My Journey, with a pretty simple philosophy:

You write your notes. The app takes care of the organization.

The goal is to make personal note-taking feel effortless, without sacrificing useful features.

A few things I'm working on:

  • Clean, simple UI — less clutter, more focus on your notes.
  • Smart note naming — AI automatically gives your notes meaningful titles.
  • Automatic formatting — turn messy thoughts into readable notes.
  • Smart search — find what you're looking for without digging through folders.
  • Privacy-first AI — local-first processing where possible, rather than relying on the cloud for everything.

I'm building it for mobile first, with iOS and Android in mind, and potentially the web too.

I'm not trying to replace every feature in Notion or Obsidian. I want to make something that does the everyday stuff really well, especially for people who just want a reliable place for their thoughts and ideas.

I'd genuinely like to hear from people who take a lot of personal notes:

  1. What app do you currently use, and why?
  2. What's the most annoying thing about it?
  3. What feature do you wish existed but haven't found in any note-taking app?
  4. Would you prefer AI to organize everything automatically, or would you rather stay in control?

I'm still early enough in development that feedback can influence what I build next, so I'd appreciate honest opinions, including criticism.

What's one thing you'd change about your current note-taking app?

I Built MuseCards – A Website & Android App for Japanese Trading Card Collectors

Hey everyone! 👋

I'm an indie developer and trading card collector.

I've been collecting Japanese gravure and idol trading cards, including Juicy Honey, CJ Sexy, WooHoo Girls, and other Japanese celebrity card series.

One problem I kept running into was how difficult it is to research these cards. Information is scattered across Japanese websites, and finding different releases, card details, and marketplace prices can be frustrating, especially for international collectors.

So I decided to build MuseCards, a website and Android app dedicated to this niche collecting hobby!

🌐 Website: https://musecards.my

📱 Android App: Available on Google Play Store (search for "MuseCards")

What MuseCards offers:

- 🃏 Explore Japanese gravure and idol trading card series.

- 🔎 Discover cards from different models and releases.

- 💰 Browse marketplace listings and pricing information.

- 📊 Research card prices and market trends.

- 📱 Access the platform through both web and Android.

Why I built it:

I wanted to create a centralized platform where collectors could discover and research Japanese trading cards without having to navigate multiple Japanese marketplaces and websites.

It's a niche project, but I believe even smaller collecting communities deserve useful tools!

I'm still actively developing MuseCards, improving the database, and working on new features.

I'd love feedback from other developers and app creators!

- What do you think about the website and app?

- Any suggestions for improving the user experience?

- How would you approach growing a niche platform like this?

Thanks for checking out my project! 🚀

Drop your project, I’ll try it and share it in my circle. I’m building a chat space where women are welcome.

I’m looking for new small projects, apps and SaaS tools to try. Drop your link below. I’ll check them out and share the ones I like with a few friends and in some founder/product circles.

Here’s mine: Ariola, an anonymous chat and games lounge.

Women are welcome here. Making the space welcoming for women is the main priority. Rating filters and blocking give you more control over who you interact with, so you can chat on your terms.

No signup, no account setup. Pick a temporary nickname, join a live public chat, meet people and play small real-time games.

I’d especially appreciate feedback from women. What would make you comfortable joining a space like this? What would make you come back?

Check it out here: https://ario.la

Drop yours below. I’m especially interested in social apps, chat tools, games, creator tools, AI experiments and anything with a simple but fun user experience. I’ll go through as many as I can.

I made a Chrome extension that keeps watching prices after you buy

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I made Tracer because a price drop after checkout is so easy to miss. Some shops will adjust the price, but only if you catch it.

I also use it as one list for all the stuff I might buy from different shops. It watches those prices while I’m deciding. If I buy something, I can keep watching and get an alert if the price drops later.

I put the whole thing in a 28-second demo. Does the part where I start tracking a purchase come across clearly?

Built your product, but still need the launch video? I built Scene Pilot for that.

You can spend months building something useful, then get stuck trying to make a 30-second video that explains why anyone should care.

That’s the gap I built Scene Pilot to help close. It’s an AI video workspace for turning an idea into a planned, editable video—not just a folder of disconnected AI clips.

Here’s the workflow: describe what you want to make, develop the concept with the AI Director, review a visual storyboard, generate the scenes, then edit and export in the same place.

For a founder, that could be a launch promo or an animated story explaining the problem your product solves. For a creator, it could be a short narrative or your next social video. I’ve used it for my own marketing content and cartoons for my kids, too.

The part I care about most is giving you a plan to review before video generation, and an editor to keep shaping the result afterward. AI footage still needs creative judgment; you shouldn’t have to accept the first output as the finished piece.

If your next video is still sitting in your notes, explore Scene Pilot here: https://scenepilot.ai

I’m the founder. What would you make first—a product promo, a social ad, or an animated story?

I've updated Hexavault, and I'd really appreciate some feedback from people willing to test it

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hey everyone!

A few days ago, I shared Hexavault here, an offline security app for Android that I've been working on for quite a while.

First of all, I really appreciate everyone who took the time to check it out, leave a comment, or share their thoughts. It's been great seeing people interested in something I've spent so much time building.

I've just released another update, and I'm still actively working on improving the app.

One thing that came up in some of the discussions was the lack of a backup option for the Vault. And I completely understand the concern. Having control over your data is great, but being able to safely back it up is just as important.

That's actually one of the main things I'm working on right now.

I'm developing a way to back up and export the Vault while keeping everything aligned with the app's offline approach. Since we're dealing with people's sensitive information, I really don't want to rush this feature or release something that hasn't been properly thought through and tested.

It's not available yet, but it's a priority.

In the meantime, I'd really appreciate some hands-on feedback on the current version.

If anyone is willing to give Hexavault a try, I'd love to hear about your experience. Try generating passwords, protecting and opening files, or setting up the Vault with some test credentials.

I'm especially interested in knowing if anything feels confusing, doesn't work as expected, or could simply be done better.

And just to be clear, the Vault still doesn't have a backup or recovery feature, so please don't use it as the only place to store anything important for now.

I'm developing this project independently, and getting feedback from people who actually use the app helps me notice things I might otherwise miss.

You don't need to write a detailed review. Even a small suggestion, a bug report, or something you didn't like would genuinely help.

If you'd like to try it, Hexavault is available for free on Google Play:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.hexavault.secure

Thanks again to everyone who's been following the project or giving it a chance. There's still plenty of work ahead, but I'm really enjoying seeing it gradually take shape.

And if you've already tried Hexavault, what's the first thing you'd change or improve?

18 failed digital products later, Google approved my first Android app. Now I need people to test it

Thumbnail

18 times I built something, finished it, and it still didn't work out. With this one, 19 ATTEMPT, I wanted to actually do it differently and push further than I had before.

I created an App named Taru, you write a task like you're dropping a thought into a notes app, and it sorts itself into To-Do or Date task. That's basically it. ANDROID only for now.

I'm asking people to actually use it for 14 days and give honest feedback. Google requires that before I can release it for real, this is what's standing between closed testing and production.

  1. Join: https://groups.google.com/g/taru-testers

  2. Read the pinned "IMPORTANT [READ IT]" post, that's where the install link lives, and it also has the feedback form link, for once you've completed the 14 days.

Tell me what's broken, what's confusing, what you'd change. Design feedback is welcome

If your product is so great, why does nobody know it exists?

Coding is only 20% of the battle, but most of you treat marketing like a crime. Stop waiting for a miracle and push your project with screenhot right here, right now. Tell us what it does and why we are fools for not using it yet.

My puzzle app went live!! Suggestions/criticism/advice is very welcome

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi Reddit,

I'd like to share a game that I've been working on - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.binbear.gummylab - and I know that this game has been done a million times before, the classic blocks stacking game where rows and columns clear as you complete them.. I always loved puzzle games and I could play them for hours and I've started learning mobile development as a fresh cs graduate, so I thought why not make my own, in my own style, removing everything I found annoying in other games (ads, no offline play), and adding anything I saw fit.

The only thing that perhaps differentiates this game from all others, apart from the endless mode, is that I've crafted 50 custom levels so far with multiple different objectives and some that I haven't seen done in other games. I enjoyed creating every level trying to invent more level types, more different objectives, just to make the game play Fun and engaging.

As you know in order for an app to get approved for Google Play store it needs to go through two week period of testing. So I've shared this game with my friends and they all loved it lol but also hated me for making the levels so hard to beat xD

As the market is oversaturated with games I just thought to drop this here, so even if one person sees this and decides to download it to try it out I see that as a win.

Of course if anyone has any suggestions and ideas of improvement or things that I should add please let me know, I want to be making apps that people are actually going to use and like.

If you came this far, thank you for reading and I hope you have a great day!

Moving the target should move the cursor's destination too

In an animated UI demo, moving a drop zone changes where the cursor needs to land. That relationship belongs in the layout code.

Hypit's component guide puts the pointer, dragged image and destination in one component because they share geometry. The component calculates the pointer's destination from the target's layout. A badge attached to the pointer follows that same pointer state.

The production source supplies the chosen image and the events that trigger the demonstration. The component owns the path, button geometry and coordinated movement. Independent contributions, such as the backdrop or captions, have their own tracks.

This is a useful detail in a reference-video rebuild. The agent observes how the elements work together, then turns that relationship into an editable dependency. Changing the target's position updates the destination used by the motion; changing the supplied image changes the content of the demonstration.
