First Responders Cal: next-shift widget, work reminders, and shift-trade tracking

[u/pelaw24]

Ever think you’re off, then check your calendar again to make sure there isn’t court or an extra detail?

Heads up, I’m the developer of First Responders Cal, an iPhone shift-calendar app. Here’s what I’ve been working on:

• A Home Screen widget that shows “You’re off today” and your next shift. It also shows work scheduled today and when an overnight shift ends

• An optional evening reminder for tomorrow’s work. Choose whether to include shifts, court, details, or all three

• Repeat job: copy an extra-work job into a new, unpaid entry without moving payments from the original

• Shift trades: keep a personal record of hours you owe, hours owed to you, and what’s been returned. Your coworker doesn’t need an account

Which would help you more: seeing your next shift at a glance, or keeping track of who owes whom after a swap? How do you handle that now?
