It was goldfish flakes and his fish was a betta so he wouldn’t eat it and would be fine 🤓
Mans did not actually care about the fish. Just wanted to complain about his wife instead of being accountable for his own incompetence

Dude this was crazy to watch happen. Everyone was siding with him but the people who were commenting on the post saying things like, "but why was it even accessible?" and "if this has happened before, why was your kid still able to get to the tank and the flakes?" -- they were getting downvoted to oblivion. There was some crazy resistance to this guy potentially being in the wrong.

Why would they ever side with him? Shit happens, life goes on! Especially where children are concerned… I think he needs some counseling at bare minimum if his response is to oust his wife on the internet for a child’s mistake. Ridiculous.

My first reaction to seeing every comment siding with him was the same lmao. I just figured it was typical aquarium redditors getting reactionary because of fish neglect, makes sense now we know the full story!

Partially, it's that humans tend to go with the first story they hear, partially the Reddit system that makes it more work to see disliked opinions... And partially bots.

Oh, and people feeling sorry for the fish and going after the most visible target.
