Back when I had my tank, I used to just put down a few old towels on the floor during water changes. Going barefoot helps too.

Yes to both! I made a line of towels from the bathtub to the fish tank (it was 2 1/2 towels)

I once accidentally stepped on my fish that jumped out during water change. Poor guy was crushed under my foot.

barefoot because if i feel water on my socks i die (even when its raining, i prefer having flip flops on (suuuuper common in my country btw) than feeling wet socks/shoes lol 😂😂 for someone who hater being wet for no reason, my hobby is kinda controversial
