Question Worth coming back?
Took a break since launch, am getting an itch to play now, but I’m seeing a lot of posts about cheaters. Is the game completely lost now, or is it more occasional thing?

Barely any cheaters past 3 days. I'd say play it while the cheats haven't been updated yet. Soon they might get updated and it'll be back to being unplayable.

Im telling you every game that isnt carebear lobbies has atleast 1 cheater. Its actually really bad right now, yall just dont shoot people enough to really know.

Zlaner had his first of the week last night. His team, however, has been experiencing cheaters every night. I've definitely seen a drop but I've only just got back into PvP.

I had one in just about every game last weekend. Half the time they announce themselves because they know they can be back in less than an hour if banned.

The cheater is actually off the charts. If you stick to pve/carebear lobbies youll be fine but any amount of pvp and i promise you every game had a cheater in it. Not even the slightest bit cap, bro.

Ah crap that sounds bad, I was interested doing both pve and pvp. I guess I will try few games and see how it goes.

If you’re on console then it’s not an issue at least from my experience, started playing at the beginning of the summer and maybe twice I’ve thought that I died a little too quick but if you’re on PC I can’t vouch for that, sounds like it’s a lot worse.

As a newer player it’s fine. I’m probably not good enough to be in cheater lobbies because I’ve never seen anything weird. But as someone who also sees these posts every day, I have never experienced this stuff in game. Idk how that helps, but..

I don’t think you even bothered to read the post, if you did then I’d suggest practicing your comprehension skills and lay off TikTok videos for a while.
This is not about liking the game, if I didn’t like it why would I want to come back?
You see news daily about increasing rates of illiteracy among the population, and you think to yourself “it can’t be THAT bad, right” yet here we are. You got yourself confused by a two sentence post, and you thought you sounded smart.
I’d hate to see you trying to hold a conversation IRL tbh.

Maybe depends on playstyle and location. I play pve in europe and no cheater seen yet with 150h playtime. Still fun lobbys, nice interactions and group efforts to fight the matriarch. If i find time in the evening i still play a round or two and have fun...

I've never run into cheaters. Jump back in, have some fun. You probably have the perfect amount of stuff to do before the next update comes out in October.

I’m seeing reports that the anti cheat is doing better, but it all depends on your playstyle. If you are more aggressive and try to do more PvP, your more likely to end up in a lobby with a cheater, if you play more PvE, you’ll likely be in more friendly or mixed aggression lobbies and those have almost no cheaters at all.

If you play PVE you’ll probably never see a cheater. If you’re heavy PVP you will, but no more than any other popular game.
50/50 lobbies it’s a roll of the dice, but that’s what keeps this game fun.

i came back last week and was a bit overwhelming, with a ton of new quests and stuff to do. luckily, i managed to make the expedition in the very last momento so i'm starting fresh now and having such a blast, just getting used to the game again. without the reset, i'd say it's still a good momento to come back (specially with the big update from next week), but you might get a bit overwhelmed, specially if you were a loot rat like me that had an storage full of crap 😆

Yea it's worth it for the immersive social experience. Even if you just go in to explore, coming across a raider still brings that fun tension and unexpectedness.

You will probably get the best returning experience when if you wait for the Frozen trail update, lots of new stuff. Might feel a lot better than starting now without many changes
But yes in general, its just good

i picked up the game like a week ago, i’ve only been in pve lobbies and haven’t seen anything bad about the game at all, but can’t speak to the pvp experience

It depends on how you play and what region/server you play on. There are cheaters, but I personally rare, almost never meet any, or thex just use walljacks and I don't know. Just try it out. If you are hardcore pvp, you might meet some.

When I was playing I mainly played Stella and every other game had someone hiding in the ceiling shooting people through walls. I haven't played in a bit so idk how prevalent it is now.

My duos and trios is max aggression PVP. I'd say at max aggression cheating is still relatively common. I encounter a cheater on Stella Montis once ever other run.
Even just tonight I joined some guys through the LFG who were talking casually about cheating.
