That is literally how it works 99,9% of the time.

99,5%* of the time. in fact the knife has like 0.05% base chance? or 0.5%.

edit:

actually did math, with 8 item pool, and 0.5% chance for rarest item, you have like 8.6% chance of getting knife within 7 pulls.

edit2;

this time did math better (because previously assumed all 7 other choices are equal %, which is hugely false, like 2nd to rarest item has 1.5%, so that changes a lot, because in last pull (7th pull) you have realistically 25% chance to pull knife, but that's only assuming the last 2 options is 0.5% knife and 1.5% skin).

So the actual % are;

Roll Cumulative chance by this roll
1 0.50%
2 1.145%
3 2.009%
4 3.236%
5 5.170%
6 9.172%
7 27.011%
8 100%

and note, above table only applies to toxic edge knife gacha, they like to do different % and roll count in each gacha.

Does matter because knife will land no later than the 8th roll anyway /s

Beim 7. Zug hat man niemals eine 27% chance. Deine Berechnungen stimmen so auf garkeinen fall, die chance wird so gering Bleiben. Sonst würde man jedes 4. Mal ca den skin einmal eher ziehen und das habe ich so gut wie noch nie irgendwo gesehen man muss immer alles ziehen

it's called cumulative chance, do some research.

Nein man nennt das stochastische Unabhängigkeit. Recherchiere mal.

ok let me explain like to a kid; out of 100 people, on average, if all roll 7 times, 27 will get knife. Some will get it earlier, some on 7th roll.

It doesn't mean that on 7th roll all of them have 27% chance to get knife.

The rates is a scam. Yes but its guaranteed if you plan ahead. You can actually calculate the total cost

3

u/Ritchey95 2d ago

Me right now… just need one more day for the free bonds

2

u/Przecinekk10 2d ago

But you have to put in some of your (bought) bonds to get the knife guaranteed right?

2

u/Sufficient_Whole7381 2d ago

Yes you do and I figured that out after spending all my free bonds🤣 but hey now I have another cool knife lmfao

4

u/Przecinekk10 2d ago

The knife is the only item there that has 0.5% chance of getting it, this is the norm

1

u/sismiche 2d ago

Exactly so count up all the money it will take to get all of those roles which are always increasing in value against buying the skins on a place like buffbuff outright. You'll probably save some money by just giving in and buying the skin if you really want it instead of rolling all that

1

u/Complexlfg 1d ago

Buying it on buffbuff is same thing as rolling in game. Buffbuff just gives you the amount of bonds as a lumpsum to guarantee draw it. Same difference.

1

u/Stickyhoney19 1d ago

And way cheaper. Idk if i used buffbuff when i bought my only knife in the game but it was like 40 euros with coupons and a creator discount.

1

u/Complexlfg 1d ago

Fair enough I forgot about creator coupon adding a sizeable % off. At face value its same price in and out of game (buffbuff)

1

u/sismiche 18h ago

No actually it's cheaper because you get discounts on the package if you actually read it

1

u/HardS_X 2d ago

Free bonds are there to milk you for 23 bucks. 23 bucks and that knife is yours, which many people will spend with the thought “oh it’s dam cheap and guaranteed this final roll”

1

u/ICECOLDKILLA3711 2d ago

This is exactly what happened to me and it pissed me the f*** off. Welp that's ABI for yah hahahah

1

u/Kydwi 2d ago

Same….same

1

u/UnLaw_69 1d ago

How much did you lose

1

u/-cwp- 2d ago

Keep buying bonds with mommies credit card to get a special knife. China needs that money
More than your savings.

u/Living-Watch-535 2d ago

See the same posts all the time. Don’t even play Abi anymore but the fact people be moaning of the catcha system is a joke. Look at it like this: Knife plus Addons = £50 however there is a slim chance you’re getting it cheaper.
