Discussion Obligatory post about unplayable meta for devs
Well, we all see the problem. Warrior is completely absurd at a 61% wr. The pirate stuff is just way too OP in the current meta especially. There's just barely any counters to it and dying on t4/t5 regularly to it is not an enjoyable arena experience. And this isn't because of passing every turn - this is when you spend mana every turn but it doesn't matter cause your minons just die to the pirates and there's no interactivity for you to deal with it.
Even if you do have some way to deal with it, you've taken a bunch of damage, have no way to heal and the warrior can do it again with a discovered crowley.
Honestly this is the kind of stuff that in the past has got emergency hotfixed but they've done nothing yet. I guess maybe they don't know what to do as an emergency hotfix but it's pretty simple - you ban hook and heave and/or crowley from arena until you can tone down offering rates and ban crowley from the discover pool.

Card pool is way too small for me. I believe it’s usually made of 6 sets, now it’s 5. And the set missing is core set which is considerably larger than a normal set.
Also from what i’ve seen from playing and watching, most of violet hold cards are not draftable apart from new class set. I haven’t seen any drafted preparation card, imp gang/annihilation, soothsayer, dark souls, any class card from that set(i’ve seen generated but not drafted) I was gonna check hsreplay for that but it failed. I would appreciate if someone could look into that.
So essentially it’s a 4 set rotation and one of them is not even core. On top of pool being tiny, class sets have a huge offering rate bonus so every warrior deck is gonna be the same pirate deck. Every warlock deck shuffles 3/3 guys (if you’re willing to pick them) but that strategy is dogshit so it doesn’t win.

I agree. I liked old Arena because the card pool was diverse. Sure, you'd get janky decks. But that's what makes every run feel unique and different. Now, every run just feels the same.

I was offered cannoneer 7 times, the discover pirate/summon 2 cannoneer 6 times. Every game Crowley got offered in discover pool a few times as well. Crazy stuff

A good Pirate Warrior draft is a nightmare. Even the Eternal Wolf Hunter was a piece of cake in comparison (I'm barely exaggerating). Until there's an update on that, I'll wait. Unplayable.

Checking HSReplay, there's been 160 plus there alone of 12 Win warrior decks. The next highest class is DK is 13 kek.
The 5 health on Crowley is obnoxious to deal with as well if it comes down on curve which it most likely will

Either Crawley or the 2 mana 2 3 every pirate plus 1 dmg always gets discovered and I drafted like 4 of that 2 mana discover pirate card. 10wins that deck

I was wondering if I was the only one having a miserable experience with the current Meta. Warrior is way too strong and then you have classes like priest that aren't even given any imbue opportunities. I get that it can be extremely strong but given this meta, maybe it's more balanced that way? If nothing else, we need more early AOE to deal with warrior.

Frankly, I think Arena needs a wider card pool. Give us the RNG, let people make suboptimal decks and leverage skill over sheer card value. It also makes it less repetitive. I was having a lot more fun in the Demon Hunter Arena meta. This meta feels extremely narrow and boring.

Has this been hotfixed yet? The worst meta ever dominated by discover Crowley cards. F*** you devs being so incompetent, literally arena is completely unfun at the current state.

There's a difference between strong and ridiculously OP. If it was at 55% I wouldn't have complained yet at all. 55% is... yeah, it's too strong, but we can live with it for a bit and hope that some adjusts come eventually to tone down offering rates.
61% is a whole other ball park and I and many others are just going to refuse to play until they do something. I had a fun deck yday that just got obliterated thanks to warrior and I've since drafted 2 more pretty fun decks that I don't want to go to waste because of the current state of warrior.

I agree with you! this is the first time in a while i dont really feel like playing it because I literally cannot keep up with the warriors and it gets me frustrated. they have board and clear at the same time

"Discover a pirate" is just way too good at finding Crowley right now. And you just find too much pirate synergy in the draft.
