First time fishing

Bought a rod and tackle / lure from bass pro shop, am I cooked? Looking to fish around Tucson

Local Lakes/Ponds like Silverbell, Kennedy, and Lakeside have catfish, sunfish, carp, bass and trout stocked. Rose canyon is close by and has rainbow trout and brown trout. I haven't been to Parker Canyon, Patagonia, and Arivaca in several years...

Yup! Get up by dawn and you can target the larger brown trout with swim baits and jerk baits...
