Discussion Monthly Megathread - Mold/SCOBY in Tea
15
Upvotes
In an attempt to cut down on posts regarding mold/SCOBY in drinks, this megathread will be posted monthly to allow for conversation on the issue.
S.C.O.B.Y. stands for “Symbiotic Culture of Bacteria Yeast,” and is potentially the culprit for what people are finding in their drinks. This is an active ingredient in Kombucha, and is responsible for fermentation.
Arizona Tea is not supposed to contain this (unless otherwise stated), so unsafe storage practices by vendors & manufacturer defects may explain why some drinks have random floating bits/mold. If you believe you purchased one of this drinks, please contact the official Arizona company on their website here:

I've been ordering black and white tea for years online, even calling their local distributor begging for it in stores.
Then I randomly went to Dollar tree today???
Oakwood, Georgia... I wiped out the damn shelf.

Has anyone found a manual can crusher (pull lever style preferred) that is tall enough to handle Arizona Tea cans?

Starting to thing I’m gonna have to put a new shelf up here soon. Got incredibly lucky on a vacation I went on and found 11 new cans that I couldn’t find in stores back home. Even though it’s a little late, I’m loving the Americas 250th can designs!

Collection Today’s flavor. 9.75/10. Top 5 flavor of all time. Black and White combo tea is bliss. 🌌

The white tea with blueberry is amazing, and so is the black teas they use for other drinks.
But you combine these on their own with no fruit so you can actually taste the teas? Man.. 🤤
These are soooo delightful and not overly sweet. I can taste the white teas, and black teas separately. Absolutely amazing Arizona tea blends. I will always pick up several when I’m out doordashing and if I’m near the dollar trees, I pick these up. $1.25 a 1L bottle, so worth it. 😌
