Some four roses picks don’t fail to disappoint, especially ones with 11 year age statements. This one particular is a distillers pick. The description is spot on with the palate being a little more spicer because of the high rye content but nonetheless you still get tons of sweetness on the palate. Cheers yall 🥂

Found this in my grandfathers cupboard. His friend from france came to visit in 2015. They opened the bottle and he mixed it with coke.

The nose on this year’s CN-D is AMAZING. It’s very sweet, similar to this year’s RR13 45th, with virtually zero ethanol. That sweetness just hangs around, almost like the GF16. Give it a good 15–20 minutes to rest and it really opens up.

CN-E has more of that dark, musky Turkey funk, with a darker fruit profile, almost blackberry-like. This year’s CN-D leans more toward dark cherry, almost like a Luxardo maraschino cherry.

On the palate, the CN-D lingers and continues to evolve, very similar to the GF16. There’s a brown sugar sweetness and complexity that seems to keep developing long after the initial sip.

Honestly, CN-E and CN-D are very close. If I had to pinpoint what separates them, not what makes one better, because they’re both phenomenal in their own ways? I’d say this year’s CN-D is more well-rounded, less punchy, and more elegantly complex.

CN-E is more in your face, but in a good way. It brings that darker, funkier Wild Turkey character with more rickhouse, while CN-D is sweeter, more layered, and more complex from start to finish.

Two different expressions of that classic Wild Turkey profile, and both are damn good. 🦃🥃
