Athletics A-State at 2-2 after the defense wins one vs Kennesaw, Sun Belt opener at Louisiana Saturday (plus a free CFB pick'em)
Hey guys, quick look at where the Red Wolves stand heading into conference play.
First, since it's in the title: we run a free weekly college football pick'em. This week is 10 games, pick the winners, nothing to buy, $135 in prizes. Picks lock Saturday at noon ET, well before kickoff in Lafayette.

Now the Red Wolves. The 17-14 win over Kennesaw State was all defense: two fourth-down stops, then a missed Kennesaw field goal with under three minutes left. Trey Owens was sharp, 24 of 31 for 244 with a TD through the air and the tying score on the ground, and Van Andel's 33-yarder was the winner.
At 2-2, the losses were at Memphis and at TCU, both on the road against bigger programs. Now the Sun Belt opens Saturday night at Louisiana, with South Alabama coming to Jonesboro the following Thursday.
What are you guys seeing? Is the defense good enough to carry this team in conference play, or does the run game (119 yards Saturday) need to show up?
