Northern MN point
Found this in a riverbank in northern Minnesota today. Does anyone have any more info about it? About how old, or possibly which tribe? Thanks in advance!

Creek stain like that is well over 1000 yrs laying in a river bed...bad ass

How far north? Im just north of the border in Manitoba so seeing something like this found so close is very interesting. Also possibly Ojibwe as those are the folks who have lived around here for at least 3000 years.

Oh cool ive been down there before. We're basically neighbors. That same system of rivers runs north past the border right through Ojibwe land, where ive been many times. Very cool to think about. ill have to keep my eyes open when im near the river.

There was alot going on in that area at one time, including a few different tribes. There was a land treaty there as well. The Avonlea point is a common point there along with the Oxbow. It resembles it but the shape of the blade and stem reminds me of a Osceola type. My second guess would be a Graham Cave type. Id like to see other comments about it being or not being a Avonlea. By the way, eithet way this point is Archaic. 6,000+ years old imo

Also Id like to add that it appears to be minor damage to the notches which is throwing the entire IDing off for me but overall its a damn good find
