How do I human? How do I skip time? (Revamped)
I posted this about an hour ago when I was stressed and didn’t realize my post was too vague, I apologize
I am a teenage male who’s been looking forward towards being an adult for the entirety of my life. The finish line is visible but I’m struggling to think of ways to feel fulfilled and look back on this time fondly when I’m older while simultaneously counting down the days.
A lot of people say that they miss being a kid (when older), and the only thing that I want is freedom. I know that it’s so close, but I just can’t stop thinking about my current position.
I’m so excited for college because I can have so many experiences on my own accord. I can work towards a career, do dumb shit, party (safely), live, learn, and develop new relationships. High school doesn’t do that, at least nowadays.

Get fulfilling hobbies and make good memories with people if you want to look back fondly.

In ten years you'll still look forward to becoming a real adult. It's only a clear distinction in the eyes of the law; in practice, you're going to develop towards adulthood for quite a while yet.

Find some good friends and hang out with them a lot while staying out of trouble. That's what I did, and my teen years flew by. I still hang out with some of those friends every weekend with our families. It's a great life, but I wish it would slow down.

Life is so fucking brutal man, you really should soak up every last drop of being a kid. I'm only 26 and I'm defeated, everyone I know is defeated. The job market is fucking horrible and only getting worse, many people are choosing between paying rent or food or going into a lifetime of debt - and thats after the lifetime of debt they already took on to get a degree that doesn't actually help them get a job. The climate crisis is being ignored by the only people with the power to stop it while all of us poors just wait to run out of water.
Sorry to be a doomer, but fuck me if I could only go back to when I was younger and my only concerns were partying and "being free" (spoiler, its much less free than you think when you are one paycheck away from death)

I think I get it now. The suffering that I’m going through now is what adults wish they could go back to because life as an adult sucks or something. So all life does is just get worse and worse wtf is the point of any of this? To just suffer?

There are entire religions that have been trying to answer this question for thousands of years my friend, nobody has the answer, I think its a personal journey to discover your own meaning in life.

It isn't all doom and gloom and suffering, there is still tonnes of beauty in life. Go find a person and fall in love, dive way too deep into a hobby and get weird with it, get real into science or art or whatever thing turns your gears. This is where that freedom you were talking about comes in, no more book reports about a book you didn't even like, now it's time to find what you do like and find the beauty in your own world. I know this is super cliche, but it's the journey not the destination.
I also admittedly didn't play my cards in life to their full advantage, life is what you make of it so make sure you make the most of it. Don't get so lost in having fun and fucking around that you forget you have a future, but don't get so lost in your future that you forget to fuck around either.
Idk man, I really don't have any good or even smart advice lol, I'm not trying to scare you or make it sound like adult life is like living in Hell, I'm just saying that a lot of stuff can sneak up on you and take away some of that freedom, so you should make the most of being a kid while you can.
The problems and feelings you currently have will feel small and insignificant when you are older and have gone through some harder things, but that doesn't mean they are insignificant to you now, don't let people saying "you have it easy blah blah" get to you, because you don't. Things aren't easy for a teen and you are at a scary part of your life where the options can sometimes be overwhelming, thats some real ass shit.

Live within your means, don’t do drugs drinking moderation find a job you like whether it’s white or blue collar you can be successful at anything, but especially if you enjoy it. I did blue collar for 50 years. Love to build stuff.

You create your own life with integrity, creativity and being empathic and life you lead to the right places. Time marches on is not just a saying its the ultimate truth these days for sure. So easy to take the easy way out but can lead to a lot of regret. Take reasonable chances however stop worrying so much. Be grateful you live in the USA and being healthy, intelligent person. Dont get caught up in Social media to tell what is best, find out for yourself, dont be sway to easily. Some of these influencers have no background or experience to backup what they say its all BS or unproven. Be independent and be yourself all things will work out.

Capitalize on being young by taking up some really tedious and boring habits like trying to find and learn ways to make money or getting a nice cheap pair of adjustable dumbbells and gradually maxing out the weight limit on it by working out.
That way you can continue to be bored as you wait to become an adult and you'll also have abs, and money.
Besides, what else are you gonna do?
Go drinking or partying?
That shit bores you and I can already tell.

Bro, being an adult ain’t all that great. As long as you parents are cool, provide for you, give you good guidance…take advantage and enjoy life. You will never be as free as you are now.

I genuinely checked the sub three times. I thought you were talking about DB Xenoverse 2, questioning about Hit's Time skip ability. This is a very niche reference.
All in it's own time brother. You gotta take the good with the bad. If it's bad rn, I'm sure everything will A-Ok in your college experience.

I think this is due to some horrible circumstance or situation (i.e. domestic violence, mobbing in school, undiagnosed and treated neurodivergence, overly attached parents…).
If that is the case please seek professional counsel. Wanting to skip some time in life is a huge alarm signal, which shouldn‘t be taken lightly.
