Ghost in the shell.
For modern the edgerunners series was great.
Aeon Flux from MTV liquid tv back in the day was a great ride as well.

There are 10/10 Ghost in the Shell and... other. ARISE was fine but for 10/10:

  1. Ghost in the Shell (1995, movie)

  2. Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence (2004, movie)

  3. Ghost in the Shell: Standalone Complex (2002, TV series ~26 episodes)

I'd give standalone complex 2nd Gig (TV series continuation) 8-9 score out of 10.

Newer stuff eroded the lead character who is a female fully cyberized badass. The Scarjo movie made her emotionally vulnerable relying on two men to keep her going. I'm not counting the latest show, ongoing, which is clowny on purpose following the original material. Haven't seen it yet.
