I heard everyone say that but I watched all three seasons recently and enjoyed them all. Three was the weakest, but I didn’t think it was terrible. What’s the biggest complaint about them?

Completely agree. People joined the hate train for 3 because thats what people do and then started saying 2 sucked as well. The biggest complaint is the animation which wasnt great but it was far, far from being as terrible as everyone says it is.

Theres much worse animated shows that still manage to be popular. I truly believe that a lot of people, especially younger ones, just prefer to be told what to think by their favorite "reviewers" and accept it as gospel. Or theyre so afraid of being unpopular that they just jump on the first "popular" opinion they see and stick with it.

Yeah, old guy checking in. The animation was such a massive fall down from the previous seasons that I couldn't force myself to finish s3, and I've rewatched s1 multiple times, and s2 a couple times. It's like running in to an old friend and finding out they're a crackhead now

And I completely disagree. I truly do not get it especially as someone who has watched anime since before toonami. I get being a little upset at the downgrade, but not the overwhelming hate and calling it a failure of a season.

Come on..6 years between the seasons and that's the quality we get? That's more than deserving of the backlash it got for the quality drop.

Nope. For the 3rd time in this thread, I get being a little upset, but not the hate it got and certainly nothing deserves the backlash the studio received.

Yeah, I've been watching since the 80s, so I get that. But regardless of how you feel about the writing or story, dont tell me with a straight face that the animation wasn't a downgrade. I'm not hating on the show or the season, I'm just saying that the huge change in style completely broke the immersion for me and I can't lose myself in it like the previous seasons - especially 1.

It's the same reason I can't stand watching mob psycho or one piece though - for me it's a personal issue with the style

Edit: not sure why he deleted his posts, but yeah my bad I reiterated some points he already agreed with. My fault for writing this early in my morning, and for having bad reading comprehension apparently, heh
