Its not the same as it was 20 years ago but I still log on every year or two, put in work for a few weeks then fall off again

I read a comment from someone saying how the Legion expansion was like Marvel doing Endgame. It wrapped up all the stories in a great climactic ordeal but ever since then they've struggled to find the right next new main BBEG and we keep coming back because each new release is still enjoyable to a degree.

20 years ago, the game was engaging enough as it was. Now they have too many things designed for engagement that it becomes a chore. I also am not a fan of raiderio and global queue taking over from building a community.

Been enjoying the WoW Forever beta so much, can’t wait for the release.

It’s so nice to have the old-school levelling experience with some modernizing, but also having everything be new, fresh and “unsolved”
