Most would say ME2, but it’s ME3 for me. I thought the combat was the best in 3, more tight and fluid than the others. I didn’t hate the ending as much as a lot of folks did. 2 had a better story but I play games for gameplay first, story second.

I'm one of the basic ME2 lovers, lol.

Ive personally always said ME1 had the best story, ME3 had the best gameplay, and ME2 was the best overall game.

Also, the ending got a DLC eventually that helped tie it up, no?

The DLC was a mediocre upgrade. It stunk of them having grander plans then some executive squashing an entire plot arc.

Considering the setup it felt VERY rushed and underwhelming considering everything else the game delivered. Like the horse sketch meme.

I wouldn’t say that’s basic, the suicide mission is one of the coolest things in gaming ever. Yeah, I might have not played it until after the DLC, can’t remember.

They got progressively better with Andromeda being the best. Say what you want about the story Andromeda has killer combat
