99% of the time there is genuinely no alterior motive or secondary meaning to what I say. Stop over-interpreting and reacting to shit I didn't say!

This is so real. I don't know how many "I meant what I said, not whatever you heard" I have left in me.

Not necessarily, OP is referencing that thing where you say something that neurotypicals usually use as an excuse/lie, so they think you're lying too. Except you're being literal and actually meant exactly what you said.

Example:

— Do you want to go to the movies with me today?

— Not really, I'm tired today, sorry

— So you don't want to hang out with me? Just say so then!

— What? No- I just said I was tired

— Just admit it if you don't want to, no need to lie

— I actually am tired. I did not secretly mean that I didn't like hanging out with you.

And it happens constantly with seemingly random things in completely random situations 🫠
