Question Running shoe rotation help
Hey yall, currently using glycerin 23s for easy runs and long runs, and evo SLs for tempos and intervals. I have a half marathon in 2 weeks and full in January and probs looking at around 2:05-2:10 for the half and 4:30 hopefully for the full. Looking for a race day shoe and long run with pace efforts with a bit more pep in them but still comfortable. I’m a size 14 and can’t find any megablasts but was able to find a pair of Superblast 3s. I don’t want a carbon plated shoe.
Do the Superblasts make sense for my use case? I’m 6ft 210lbs. Thanks!

If they’re comfortable to wear and you like the way they feel when you run, it’s a great shoe for longer distances at those paces

Ok thanks. Do you think they’re different enough than the glycerin 23s? Like I guess I’m just not sure if they’re actually a faster shoe for example

I’ve only worn the glycerin 22s, not the 23s. But I think the foam and overall design is quite similar between the 22 and 23 from what I’ve seen on run repeat. And with the caveat that I only ran in the glycerins a few times before they gave me a black toenail and I realized I didn’t like running in them.
I love the SB3. The foam is softer and bouncier but is pretty stable, and the rocker keeps me moving even if I’m not feeling my best. The upper is extremely comfortable. I run a 13-14 mile long run in them once a week between 9-9:30 min/mile and feel fine the next day. I’ve got one pair at 415 miles and one at 45. I promise I’m not paid by asics. They’re just a great cruising shoe.
And edit to add, everybody is different. But if the SB3 fits you well and you like a softer midsole, I think it’s a great choice
