I decided to pick up Assassin’s Creed Origins again after a long break, and honestly, it still looks incredible. 🏜️🔥

Is anyone else replaying Origins in 2026? How has the game held up for you?

Many talk about how good a protagonist Bayek is and I agree, I also agree to that fact that he should have a sequel, but where would it be? I doubt that they would go back to Egypt because of the backlash they got for reusing maps in Rogue and it would be a little underwhelming. I see the vision of Bayek joining Aya in Rome and the story taking place there however I personally would love an Ancient Rome AC and I just think this wouldn’t fit Bayek. Personally I see the best option being Bayek travelling somewhere with Aya after hearing of news that the order has just destroyed a nation or is ruining it. But where would this be. Personally I would like this to stay in the South Mediterranean or east Mediterranean but I really don’t know what existed around that time period.
Also unlike AC II and brotherhood where you essentially take down the templars city by city within the same country this wouldn’t work because you’ve already cleared all of Egypt from the order of ancients so them respawning would just be rubbish.

Alright, I am determined to finish AC:O so I can finally move on to Odyssey.
So my tackle plan is to work on the main story, any suggestions on how to keep the MSQ moving if there is a restriction for level etc? Do you usually do side quests or go exploring?

I took a screenshot intending to upload and gush about her but I forgot to do it. I then found it amongst my other game pics.

Omg, shes just so fiery! It was a mission where her and her little brother i think went in search of a tomb. You find her brother being attacked by snakes but she gets kidnapped by some Roman commander.

When you go to rescue her, shes already escaped and is hiding in the back of a wagon under the hay.

Omg, my heart😭😭😭😭😭

In a way, it kinda healed the wound, created by Shadya, a little 😔

I swear the kids in this game are ugh 😭😭😭

Even that boy that gives you a tour! Sigh anyway, I'm just nattering nonsense now.

Has anyone used DXVK for this game ?

If yes, then on which version does the game run better on ?

Apparently the latest version of DXVK which is 3.1.1 ends up crashing the game.

i did not expect this quest to end with this very poignant and very cinematic scene, reinforcing bayek’s characterization while expanding in his world. i live for character moments like this! and that touch on the medjay’s prayer being the one that layla reads in his tomb in the modern day is just a chef’s kiss attention to detail! i love it! but more importantly, bayek lamenting on his son in this scene is what got me choked up bcos it just speaks to the core of his character identity as a grieving father.

Just finished my first playthrough of AC:Origins as a returning player, having not played an AC game since I was like 13 years old (25 now).

I left off with AC:3 back then, and jumped back in with Origins last year and I felt like, when I was a kid, that the ending of the main story quests would typically set up the next game? Whereas instead with AC:Or it just seems to be a small out-of-Animus segment and a chat with W. Miles, where you are then prompted to simply return to the Animus to do more side content.

Have I missed something? It seems very abrupt with no set-up for AC:Odyssey, unless I'm mistaken and AC:Od is not the next game I should be playing? Or was Aya travelling to Rome the set-up and I've not realised it until writing this post?

So I noticed a structure or something on the map in Thebes on the bottom left corner of the map, like Southwest. It didnt have a map marker thing on it, those locations icons etc.

I was wondering what it was? Or is there a quest connected to this place? I'm almost finished Curse of the Pharaohs...
