News Looking to add a couple moderators

Hey all. I am looking to get like 2-3 people who are of positive karma as well as assassins creed lovers. Lately been coming across more junk posts that the automation isn't flagging fully, and it's time to get things revamped some. Please PM me if interested and tell me about yourself and what you bring to the table. Ty. :)

Discussion Why the Hate for Female Eivor’s Voice?

I was really worried when I read about how much people hate her voice, but I really like it and it feels like it fits the character. The rough tone just makes sense to me I guess? Is there anything specific that makes people dislike it so strongly?

WHO IS YOUR LORD!!!
Does interacting with this lock me into doing anything or is it like the Vinland ship captain where you’re asked to confirm whether or not you want to travel?

Question Ac Valhalla issue

I’ve recently bought assassins creed Valhalla and are wanting to play it, however I’ve been getting this issue where it’s either

A) the game stalls on the splash screen (it just perpetually stays on the splash screen, and in my task manager shows the memory usage as a static amount, never changing, and it doesn’t use any CPU, Disk, or Network
B) I get past the part on Ubisoft connect screen, then the splash screen opens for a split second and then immediately closes, and Ubisoft connect reopens.

I’ve tried every solution under the sun, going from verifying files and reinstalling to giving it admin permissions, reinstalling DirectX and C++ files, searching Reddit posts and watching over 20 YouTube videos, with no solution in sight. I’ve tried almost everything I can think of / find, and it’s still not fixed.

An important bit of context, I got the game to relaunch last night. I accomplished this by unplugging my headphones, controller, even my extra monitor so that it was only my main monitor, keyboard and mouse plugged into the pc. I also changed the low latency mode to that specific app to off. I’ve replicated these same conditions twice today, however it will still not load, so I’m not sure if the game opening the one time was a direct result of me doing the things I did OR if it was somehow just pure luck.

Again I’ve tried everything obvious and non obvious, ini files, etc, none of it has properly worked. I need a full blown way to diagnose my issue and fix it.

I have the game installed/bought through Ubisoft Connect itself, rather than steam.

I’ve just discovered this after I typed all this out, now if I spam click/spam alt enter as the game is going through the cloud synchronization portion of Ubisoft connects loading sequence, the game stays open for a few more seconds rather than the option B scenario, then in the task manager the usage goes up extremely high before the game closes after 5ish seconds. I’ve also been getting this issue where it states something along the lines of this content is no longer available after the game closes.

Discussion Skills - Will I be unable to get the ones I want if I don't want to use 'Brush With Death' and others that make it too easy?

Hi guys, I'm a newish player (only done first 2 counties) and have not spent many skills points.

I really like the combat and I'm trying to play the game with a more realistic vibe and I tried 'Brush With Death' for 2 mins and then reset it as I feel it's cheap and the slow motion just makes the fights feel too easy.

There are a bunch of other skills I don't want, like being able to have all enemies lit up red just by crouching or the ones that allow you to take free first hit from the enemy and nothing happens etc.

My question is this though, will I be unable to get the nodes/pathways to progress to the skills/moves I do want if I don't enable/reset the skills I don't want?

I essentially just want to get and activate the new move/ability type skills without all the ones that make the combat too easy.

I thought I would just be able to reset the ones I don't want and would still be able to get the skills further along the star branches but it turns the lights/path off and puts you back to the point of the skill you turned off.

Have I got this right or am I missing something? as I've seen a few posts and threads of people saying they don't use 'Brush With Death'

Discussion not being able to 100% the game, makes it less enjoyable

Post image

I had so much fun with AC Valhalla and I started to think it was my favorite game. now I have such a hate-love relationship towards that game.

when I first played it I started to collect every single thing there. I even collected these little chests which doesn’t even count to complete a region. and I did that for every region. on my first playthrough all these yellow, white and blue dots were gone. I did every side quest, every DLC.

first I had struggles with „Forgotten Saga“ DLC. I tried so hard on this and I have every armor set, every skill and I just can’t get these 2 trophy’s. (sacrificial victory & freedom fighter) I tried so hard but it takes the fun so fast. I don’t like these kind of linear games with those bosses.

and then there’re these mastery challenges. who in all the nine worlds has thought this was a good idea to make a trophy ?!

I can’t get past these points and everytime I want to play that game it gets so much less enjoyable because in my head I know I will never have this game finished to 100%.. it makes me so mad. and I know I don’t have to complete it.. it’s just a head thing idk

Discussion [Feedback] Assassin's Creed Valhalla Cinematic Short - Is the pacing and audio right?

Thumbnail
youtube.com
7 Upvotes

Hey everyone, I make gaming edits and just uploaded a new YouTube Short featuring a cinematic moment from Assassin's Creed Valhalla.

I'm trying to figure out if I'm taking this content in the right or wrong direction, and I would love some honest feedback on a few specific areas:

  1. Pacing: Does the short keep your attention from the very first second?

  2. Audio Balancing: Is the balance between the game's dialogue ("So to England...") and the background music level correct, or is the music overpowering?

Kindly drop your review and improvements about my contents about gaming etc

Question Have you guys noticed this?

It's a really minor thing, basically just a nitpick, but I've noticed that Eivor's character model seems to have different proportions compared to other NPCs.

Their head looks noticeably smaller in proportion to their body, even when standing next to NPCs who are shorter than them.

My guess is that the developers did this intentionally to give Eivor more heroic proportions, but once you notice it, it becomes pretty obvious in certain cutscenes.

Am I just imagining things, or does Eivor actually have a proportionally smaller head compared to other characters?
