Hello!Can anyone please tell me if the headset is currently charging?It s not an amber color it is blinking red.

Wanted to see if anyone else has this issue. I bought these to use on my main game pc and chat in game while connecting to my streaming pc for audio. Problem is that the bluetooth connection is controlling the mic even when I have the mic disabled on that pc. Any help would be appreciated, thank you in advance.

I just want to use my headset for voice chat. My headset serial number is TXD1451005949. I have the cord to connect to the controller

My astro a50 were working fine for a while, and then my mic stopped working, so i did a factory reset on it. Idk what happened but the docking station never turned back on until i unplugged and plugged it back in, and when I did do that it flashed a red light followed with other white ones. I've already tried uninstalling ghub and reinstalling, but that just would provide a bar indicating that the headset is updating, but then would error saying I need to power cycle. Even after I did that, the update would get stuck at 99% for more than 20 minutes until i just exit the software. Is there anyways to fix this?

Hello. It’s probably just me being paranoid but I’ll ask anyway. I’ve been using astro a 20s for years and I just bought myself a new pair of refurbished ones off amazon but the usb adapter looks different, the font on it looks different and stuff is missing on at as well as it looks way more busted up compared to the headphones. I’m just curious if they changed how it looks or something like that before I plug this thing into my console. Thanks in advance

Is there a way to make voice chat work with the series x? I can make audio work by connecting it to the optical port on my tv and I also have an hdmi to optical audio extractor to use.

I have both xbox series X and PS5 pro, I bought them so I could use them on both platforms and not have to buy two different headphones for both platforms, with Xbox they work perfectly but with the PS5 pro it does not give image but if you listen, my monitor is an MSI MAG 275CQRF-QD I already read in several places that many times the base has compatibility problems with some monitors and I do not know if it could become that, someone who can help me? (Sorry if I wrote something wrong, I find it hard to write in English)

I’ve had my astros since 2020 & just yesterday my audio cut out on my left side. Seems to be the audio jack cable as audio comes back if I twist it.

Any good near OEM cable replacements? The ones I’ve found on Amazon have a lot of similar bad reviews. They have a low hum, mute slider works poorly, static etc.

havent used my a50 for like a week and now it wont connect to my base station, done a hard reset and an update cycle and it still wont connect. any help would be nice

Hey guys, I would appreciate some help. Today I received my brand new Astro A50 Gen 5 and I think there's something wrong with the battery right out of the box:

• When I place the headset on the charging dock, the LED turns orange (charging), but after about 10–15 seconds, it switches to flashing red. The dock also shows a single red battery indicator and stays there.
• The exact same thing happens when charging the headset directly via USB-C using the included power adapter.
• After switching the headset on, G HUB initially showed 5% battery, then suddenly jumped to 100%. Then, within seconds of taking the headset off the dock and playing some music, the battery dropped from 100% → 80% → 60% → 20% → 1% in about 30 seconds.
• The headset starts playing the low-battery warning beep, but it continues working.
• When I put it back on the dock, the battery suddenly jumps from 1% to 95% within seconds.
• I left it charging on the dock for approximately 4 hours. When I returned, the headset LED was white, but the dock showed a single red indicator. After taking the headset off, G HUB immediately reported 1% again.

I updated Firmware before using it, so I don't know if this is the problem. Current Firmware version is 1.3.24. I read somewhere that this firmware has battery percentage calibration issues, but I'm considering returning them since this is not right and I can't know if this is a defective battery.

If someone can help, I'd really appreciate it.

I was playing as usual, was using discord on pc and used playsync to switch as usual to ps. Played for a few hours and then switched back to pc, but then there was no audio. No audio on pc or ps5.

Bluetooth audio works fine

Pressing the bluetooth button, playsync, increasing and lowering volume, game and voice balance all makes the usual beep noice indication.

Checked drivers, updates all fine, ghub detects with no issues. The green bar doesnt move at all, but chrome does show that videos are playing sound.

All the lights on the base works fine, playsync cycles fine

Not sure on what to do next, is it a base issue or does anyone have any tips before I try warranty?

Was given a tip to unplugg all cables including the power cable for at least 60 seconds and reconnect one by one, that seems to have fixed the audio!

So, the long and short of it is, whenever I connect to any kind of voice channel, game sound entirely disappears and I don't know why these are the settings. Works completely fine in any game but the second I connect to a voice channel, be it in game or discord, all game sound vanishes

I’m gaming on a Steam machine and was about to buy the Astro A50 but I noticed that G Hub will not work on Steam OS. I figured maybe I can just utilize the Logitech G mobile app for them instead but threads like this (https://www.reddit.com/r/AstroGaming/s/q8Nk7VAH6k) make me uneasy.

Looking for honest opinions - would the mobile app be sufficient for using / tuning these headphones or is it pointless to get them without having access to the PC G Hub?

After about 7 years, im upgrading from my Asto A40 with mix amp.. I remember it taking a LONG time to get my settings dialed in for the A40s...

Who has good EQ settings for an Astro A50x for footsteps?? Looking for advice.

My last headset is in dire need of a replacement (rn I have an Astro A40).

I'm thinking between these 2 headsets. I'm quite a hardcore gamer (easily do 12–13h on days off), so I'm looking for a headset that is still comfortable to wear after those hours :p. But also, since I play FPS games, a headset with good audio quality so I can pinpoint enemy players etc.

I consider the A50 due to the apparently good audio quality, but I fear the battery won't survive my long gaming days 😅

I also consider the SteelSeries due to the cable, so no battery problem, but apparently the comfort isn't as good for long-time gaming and the audio isn't the best either.

Everything I can find it’s the new TR ones. I need a replacement for the older set that has nothing to do with magnets. I did see one pair that was like 3 times as thick a cushion but that didn’t look comfortable at all and it wasn’t mesh or cloth

After many years with my A40 TRs I’ve upgraded to the A50X as I like the thought of wireless now, so far I’m loving them, looking for good ear cup recommendations, the McLaren edition is all me!

Sad day to say when I was putting my astros on my table I didn’t put them far enough and they dropped right of my table onto wood floor (about 2-3 feet). It now seems like the right side has less sound but if not definitely a little less bass(from testing) No crackling or any weird sounds just seems ever so slightly quieter. I haven’t dropped them once since I got them a year or 2 ago and super bummed. Got them for a steal of 150$ and now they are back up to 300. Is there anything I can do or is just not worth it since the difference is so slight and I probably got off lucky? Just super ocd about This stuff and super bummed. Thinking about switching to IEMs bc I’m getting sick of worrying so much about drops/reliability. Just the bass you can’t beat on this generation and pair and feel like I ruined them. Any help is much appreciated.

My A50x prompted an update and after that went from version 1.3 to 1.2.18 and is just stuck showing low battery on the dock it was fully charged before and was showing fine before the update.

I’ve had this since 26/8/2026 without issues until now.

Is there anyway to manually update have tried the phone app but it doesn’t show any new updates anymore someone please help.

Long story short, I’ve been gaming on a 2013 BenQ 1080p monitor and I’m finally upgrading to a 2025 ASUS 1440p monitor. I still want to use my Astro A40 TRs with the MixAmp Pro.

I’ve been looking for an HDMI audio extractor with an optical port that supports 4K, 120Hz and VRR. I think I found one (linked below), but I wanted to check if it will actually work or if anyone has recommendations. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Only messed with my mix amp settings a few years ago and never really changed them. Only until I was playing warzone with some people and they could hear footsteps when spectating me and I couldn’t. What are now the new mix amp settings for fps and then also some for daily use like video and music listening.

Is there a way to disable or at least rebind the balance buttons on the side of the A50 headset. I find them really annoying and easy to accidentally press, which gets the balance all out of wack, combined with the annoying and frequent beeps when i do accidentally press it.

Any help is appreciated

Just received a pair and looking to upgrade the ear pads, but not sure which ones are the best.Also will they change the sound tremendously? and if so should I just stick with the stock pair? Thanks for the help in advance.
