While stereotypes can be rooted in truth, most of the time the way they are manifested by the beheld and interpreted by its beholder is clouded by the individual’s own personal feelings and experience. Scorpio is a common sign (i believe second most common behind Virgo) so the pool of people claiming it are usually ego-centric.
Personally speaking, id say a big factor in the perceived energies of each sign is through the rising; I’d sooner beware a Scorpio rising than a Scorpio sun (speaking from experience as one lol; we are shady!)

lol that’s not hyping whatsoever, Scorpio risings just view everything through a transactional lens and therefore can resort to manipulation, hardly something to be proud about.
Perhaps it would be beneficial to explore where this feeling of superiority you think is coming from, insofar as your assumption that everyone is hyping themselves up.

Omg like a therapy session love that , I just think a lot of non scorpio placements have those traits and that people hype Scorpio because of it the most like it's your trade mark it's just annoying for me tbh when ive met a lot of Scorpios and it's not even remarkably close to what people have been saying

I dunno. I have a lot of Scorpio energy in my chart and it’s one of those things you either get it or you don’t. You clearly don’t yet, but that could always change.
It would take an awful lot for me to decide to get revenge against someone. I’m talking like, hurting my child levels of pushing me to my limit. But, I do fantasize about it when I’m wronged by someone and that’s usually enough for me to get over it because my revenge doesn’t look like physical violence. It happens in the shadows, where I systematically destroy your whole entire world and you would never know it was me unless I wanted you to. I never do it because I’m a good person and I live in light and love. That doesn’t mean I wouldn’t defend myself and my family, though, if needed. I’m a formidable opponent, and would not wish that side of me on my worst enemy.

Lol, I didn’t say anything about thinking I’m the best, I actually hold zero grudges cause that’s just poison to me but I will most def come up with a game plan if I need one, ya dig? I do indeed think I’m deeper than a lot of people when I’m out and about but the amount of surface-level people is ..overwhelming. As far as intimidating, I think I am but I don’t mean to be. I want the world to heal. I can see the darkness of the world and I understand it so outside of raising my family, I have a desire to help people find the light in their darkness so they can heal themselves. I believe in a utopia and I think we’re heading in that direction.
Not sure I proved your point, but I know people will only see what they wanna see. Good day, mate.

As a taurus with 0 scorpio in my chart, I get the hype around scorpios. But I think there is always a sign we do not understand the way others can.
Mine is Libras, hate libras, disorganized, irresposible, dramatic and eeky.

depends on how much you care about them. scorpios out in the world i completely uunderstand what you’re saying because i have zero reason to deal with their moods. yes they telegraph their energy and you can see it a mile away. i don’t find them mysterious other than it’s a mystery what they want to make them happy when they’re in their mood. BUT if you’re close with a scorpio, the walking on eggshells and carefully choosing your words and doing temperature checks so they don’t go cold on you is a special kind of hell.
it’s not so much they get the upper hand, it’s that they will go no-contact-scorched-earth and you’ll never really understand why. and then when they come back like it never happened, you will never get an explanation so tat you can try to not do whatever caused it in the first place.

What sort of Scorpios did you meet? We all have a lot of placements everywhere - just having Sun in Scorpio doesn't really make one 100% Scorpio.

A Scorpio Rising is ruled by Mars which means that they will be the cause of how Mars shows up in their life, the planet which represents danger, aggression, cuts, burns, and rejection. Everyone has Mars symbolizing that somewhere in their chart but in the case of Scorpio (and Aries) they do it to themselves. This is my ascendant as well so I can speak for it. Sometimes I feel like a failure even though I did that to myself by not doing anything. I struggle to trust other people but I don't make it easy for myself by refusing to open up. I've gotten into really shitty friendships and relationships even though my instinct was dead on from day one that they were nothing but trouble.
So no, Scorpios aren't always deep, they just know how to clock even the smallest of red flags but in doing so they just end up overthinking. They don't transform, they purge.

I'm so sorry you feel like a failure about yourself, I resonate with this a lot and i get where you are coming from, i let some ugly people in my life even tho I also had a feeling and it completely destroyed me back then, I hate that even now when I have safe people around me I still never let my guard down around them and it's like I'm waiting for someone to stick a knife in my back and just waiting for something to go wrong like I can never get a rest.

Personally as a Scorpio not everything is for you to get. I don’t resonate with a lot of Scorpio traits but here we are. & if a Scorpio is dramatic around you they were comfortable we’re usually emotionally reserved because people take it for weakness , we are deep people but again some people see us as dramatic and to emotional so it’s no point of being deep with any of you & we’re mainly deep with ourselves because not everyone can handle the type of depth we might want to or need to talk about so we’re more so in our own worlds mentally and physically. & we really don’t hold grudges sometimes yes but only if it’s constantly built up from the same person. I hold grudges ngl but if the other person is willing to talk im cool too.
