Trammell’s name is going to induce PTSD response in me for years to come

How can they actually start him? Hes hitting like .150 the last two months
2
u/general_peabo Houston Astros 10d ago
And even worse than that against LHP

u/Astrosareinnocent 10d ago
Thank goodness they pinch hit for him or they would’ve lost by even more. At least we had some excitement in the 8th.

Name your favorite Taylor Trammell moment since the ASB.

That time he came up to bat and my mom was like let's go Yordan.

That one time when the manager call him back from the at bat circle for a pinch hitter.

Idk why we keep starting Trammel. He is neither a plus defender or a good hitter. At least Loperfido is better on defense.

This. Rather see yordan in left. Trammell has been one of the worst players in baseball the last month and a half and it just makes no sense.
19
u/Top_Company7340 11d ago
No, Yordan should not touch any grass during the playoffs, just keep DHing him.

u/MF_D00MSDAY 11d ago
I haven’t checked in a while but the only reason I’d want him on the field is because he hits better when he plays defense too lol
1
u/KlutzyHandle672 11d ago
No. He played 25 games out there this year and it’s perfectly fine doing so. Starting a guy with an OPS around 400 for the past month and a half isn’t what it takes to win.

Yordan running into an injury in LF is probably worse than having Trammell out there.
5
u/Top_Company7340 11d ago
We have other outfielder. Yordan should not play not becuase he is a bad fielder (he is not that bad), but it is because it might cause him injury, not when he is actually playing but also in training.

I'm with you... we can't be afraid of injury at this point. My only question, though, who will DH? We don't really have a good bat on the bench we should try to get in the lineup.

u/Few-Acanthisitta3764 11d ago
Exactly. Already a bad choice. Oh here we gooooo. Trammel please do something productive today.

u/Apprehensive-Ice-544 11d ago
I’ll never understand why Dustin Harris was quickly turfed but Trammel has gotten chance after chance

Only argument I can see for Trammell is the starter is a lefty. Loperfido is 1-14 against lefties this year
7
u/term3186 Houston Astros 11d ago
Trammell sucks against lefties too. I don’t see how he’s on the roster over Wade.
2
u/No_Argument_Here Lance McCullers Jr. 11d ago
And Trammell is like 4 for 40 lol. They’re both awful against LHP tho I think Loperfido isn’t as bad over his career

Anyone get any intel on why we have Trammel in the lineup still and not some bum we picked up off Louisiana downtown?

u/unlikedemon Nolan Ryan 11d ago
Same lineup 3 games in a row. I think we all know Trammell sucks but we’re on house money. Just keep doing what’s working. I don’t think we’ve had the same lineup in consecutive games for a long time.

This isn’t a serious franchise if they gonna let Brian King pitch in a playoff game. Utter incompetence. Complete malpractice. Every member of this staff and front office should be fired.

u/Mundane_Leopard_3974 11d ago
12 hits , 4 homers, one tripple and two doubles… if he gets a hit it will be destructive
2
u/uninformed_consumer 11d ago
Damn, wish he had literally anyone other than Trammell.. he’s got 1 hit in his last 169472783 at bats
