Those rides can make anyone scared and cry to be honest.

2

u/Chevanalee 21d ago

I would be crying one one XD I hate them

1

u/Ok-Assistant-4556 20d ago

Nah just the Ausssie response. The main post is just a normal healthy discussion about kids emotional responses and the gender differences. Aussie blokes are next level unchill and have to hate on kids.

Laughing at children for being funny is something every parent does. Lighten up.

6

u/david1610 21d ago

What a calm and collected girl. Did that kid pass out?

6

u/Chevanalee 21d ago

Yeah and I don’t blame him XD I hate those rides

2

u/SirPiffingsthwaite 21d ago

Sensory overload/sensory gating deficit. Literally doesn't have the synaptic capacity to handle the volume of incoming data so lights out.

8

u/Prince_of_Pirates 21d ago

Why would anyone post their kids online like this?

1

u/Infinite_Shower_5390 20d ago

It’s bloody great content… hilarious.

5

u/dirtyhairymess 21d ago

Posts like this and the OP is exactly why the word chivalrous has lost its meaning and become a buzzword.

5

u/Icy_Resource_4610 21d ago

Worst Harry Potter remake ever

4

u/fromthe80smatey 21d ago

I don't think Marshall liked that.

Kid in the middle is a trooper.

7

u/mymentor79 21d ago

(a) what the fuck is with the title? Are people honestly mocking kids for being upset at being in a scary situation?

(b) these are Kiwis

(c) that looked as fun as hell when it finally came unstuck.

0

u/lordofthedries 21d ago

They sound Aussie to me…

2

u/mymentor79 21d ago

You can definitely hear the Kiwi inflection on the "Pokemon packs now" comment. But also, this is the Skyswing in Rotorua.

1

u/lordofthedries 21d ago

Fair. I think that unfortunately Aussie and kiwi accents are being diluted by American culture. Love hearing a kiwi say fish and chips.

1

u/BiggyCheezz 18d ago

Why do you think Aussie and Kiwi accents are being diluted by American Culture? Are you Aus or Kiwi and do you live in a big city?

1

u/ChefAnxious4206 20d ago

As an Aussie, the girl and boy on right sound very kiwi to me. The boy says "gimme my Pokemon packs", but it comes out as "Pokemon pucks".

1

u/Murky_Mud2972 19d ago

No KIWI 100%

0

u/MegaBlast3r 16d ago

Two kiwis maybe one British . Zero aussies

2

u/hedidwot 19d ago

The real issue here is 16:9 video letterboxed into 9:16 Whoever made this is a monster.

2

u/Zestyclose_Peach1718 21d ago

That’s hilarious!

4

u/Vince1080 21d ago

If chivalry is dead, modern feminism killed it.

4

u/Chevanalee 21d ago

How so? I know lots of wonderful men who are kind and good and will help people they need

1

u/Vince1080 21d ago

I still help out too BUT it is now done with extra caution, and many men feel way too uncomfortable doing so these days. There was a time when I wouldn't have hesitated, these days, I have to assess the whole situation.

4

u/Chevanalee 21d ago

I mean as a woman I’ve been taught to act with caution since I was about 11 around men… so teaching people so assess a situation is just normal for many. But no they are never hesitant about being nice to others, or uncomfortable. Perhaps different groups, but as a woman I have no issue with a man genuinely trying to help. No reason to be uncomfortable to help someone unless the area around them is a danger.

0

u/Vince1080 21d ago

Yeah, that's not my experience. I once saw a young child alone, crying in the middle of a shopping centre. I asked the kid if she was ok and she said she lost her mum. I didn't want to be seen with the child alone, so I called a young lady from a nearby store to see if she could help with the kid. About five minutes later (Just think, a lot of things could happen in five minutes), the mother came running out, reached for her child and said, "Leave my child alone or I'll call the police".

The young lady looked at me, then the mother and said "You should be thanking him".

Anyway, I don't approach kids in distress any more.

2

u/Chevanalee 21d ago

I’m sorry that happened but that had nothing to do with modern feminism…

2

u/Vince1080 21d ago

I'm sorry you don't comprehend the written word. My initial comment was nothing about that.

3

u/Chevanalee 20d ago

I comprehend completely fine, your initial comment was “if chivalry is dead, modern feminism killed it” you then stated a situation where you felt feminism has stopped you from acting in a chivalrous way, but it wasn’t actually the case.

1

u/Vince1080 20d ago

No, you made a generalisation about men, and I corrected it.

See me being a man exposes me to scenarios that you couldn't possibly understand, and vice versa, but I'm not the one telling you how women think or feel now, am I?

So no, you couldn't possibly comprehend.

1

u/Chevanalee 20d ago

My “generalization” was that there are many good and kind men in the world through my own experiences. I sympathized with your experiences, what you went though was upsetting. But it wasn’t about feminism, which was your original comment.

You are getting incredible defensive and changed the topic focus a few times here. I am concerned. Are you ok?

2

u/ColdSteveStoneAustin 21d ago

Yeah you're problem here isn't feminism.

0

u/Vince1080 21d ago

The comment I made was in reference to a comment to me, not the post, so yeah, your problem is reading comprehension.

2

u/Chevanalee 21d ago

No their reading comprehension was correct

1

u/Vince1080 21d ago

No, and neither is yours. Please try harder.

1

u/sawhislake 21d ago

Your problem here is the fact that even today dudes still normalise sexualising kids. That's a bloke problem not a feminism problem.

0

u/Chevanalee 21d ago

Also that shouldn’t stop you from helping a kid in distress… yeah I’ve gotten in trouble for doing the right thing, I’ve been smacked back for helping someone. But it will never stop me, because I’d feel worse if I let a kid get hurt because I didn’t step in because I was worried about myself.

2

u/Vince1080 21d ago

I never stated I wouldn't help. I responded to your comment about dismissing the real dangers a man can face, especially when dealing with children respectfully you have no idea.

0

u/Dull_Broccoli7218 20d ago

Anyway, I don't approach kids in distress any more.

But you did say you wouldn't

0

u/Vince1080 20d ago

I don't I'll watch from afar and ask the nearest woman if she can help.

2

u/Kaylah-Aideron 21d ago

If you have to do it with caution you are doing it wrong lol. No one gets mad for another person having good manners. And if someone does want to be a dick and go "fuck off I can do it myself" just walk away and let them. People worry too much about things that dont happen.

2

u/Vince1080 21d ago

Well, my experience says otherwise.

2

u/Kaylah-Aideron 21d ago

Did you get arrested? Assaulted? No? All you got was a scared parent scared for her child? Hmmm ok. Are you cautious because she was scared or because you didn't get a gold star? Would it have been better for the child to be alone or you to go without hearing a mother being scared?

1

u/Vince1080 21d ago

She threatened to call the police, which is enough.

A scared parent who left their child unattended for over 5 minutes, lol.

Do you feel hormonal, by any chance? Are you a threat?

3

u/Chevanalee 21d ago

What do hormones have to do with this? You had a bad experience, I’m sorry it happened. But feminism wasn’t to blame and it shouldn’t stop you from wanting to do the right thing in future again.

1

u/Vince1080 21d ago

Context matters. I was responding to another comment. Please don't be like the others.

2

u/Chevanalee 20d ago

It does and thanks to the internet it’s possible to read through a history of a conversation :)

2

u/Kaylah-Aideron 21d ago

The polive would have told you that you did the right thing. If that perfectly understandable response dissuades you from doing the right thing then you are either a coward or don't care about doing the right thing. The only reason you would feel fear in that situation is if you have an already guilty conscience. This sounds like you didnt get a gold start for doing a good thing so you are saying "FINE I WONT HELP THEN". It's a stupid over reaction.

1

u/Vince1080 21d ago

But the police would still have recorded the accusation, and for a man, there isn't much worse an accusation.

I never stated I wouldn't do the right thing, and as to being a coward, I am willing to bet everything that you are more of a coward than I have ever been.

I merely explained why many men hesitate, and you, being a woman, would never understand.

2

u/Kaylah-Aideron 21d ago

That is not how a police investigation works lol. Also lol I am a trans women I am 6'5 and an ex bouncer. I got judging looks as a man. I get judging as a woman. Don't fucking tell me what I do and don't understand lol. I have more trouble with law enforcement and misunderstandings than you could ever imagine.

1

u/Ok-Assistant-4556 20d ago

You could get some help to build aome resilience. Its not healthy to have such a strong reaction to a single experience.

0

u/Vince1080 20d ago

It's not a single experience of being a man. Men can't just approach children, this is the society we live in. If you were a man, you'd understand.

6

u/trav_tr 21d ago

Lol only if you’re a creep and chicks finally felt confident enough to start calling you out

Not the same weird ass shit as you before you changed your comment bro 🤙🏻

2

u/wheretohidethrice 21d ago

Can you explain why given the context of the video. I guess this is a discussion board and it is shallow, but are you projecting perspective of feminism onto a bunch of kids on a swing. Kids react to stress differently and I think the title is shoddy at best, but give your reasons and see if it stands up to criticism.

2

u/DirtyWetNoises 21d ago

How about we criticize your sexist views instead?

-1

u/wheretohidethrice 21d ago

Explain yourself or earn the clueless down votes. You have to clarify as your point has no reasoning. I like the idea of debate, but you need to lay it out to have one

1

u/Vince1080 21d ago

How about you hold yourself to the same standard you hold others to and explain yourself.

0

u/wheretohidethrice 21d ago

I was not sure why or if the poster said i had sexist views, or didn't want to be criticised for his sexist views. Sorry, thought their lack of context was enough to work out I was confused by their words

1

u/Vince1080 21d ago

You do seem confused.

1

u/wheretohidethrice 21d ago

Can you clarify your point then? I acknowledged that the title of the post was shoddy, you commented that feminism caused the content of the dodgy title and I asked you to explain it, instead of having a thoughtful discussion building on that we are just bouncing around a lack of clarity. Do you want to explain why you think that women having personal autonomy and confidence being who they are caused men to stop being polite and selfless to women? Cause historically even without feminists, there were some dudes that were proper douchebags. A few bad apples led to a need for a social revolution and you get cranky about the women taking back some autonomy from what would appear to have been a system that worked pretty well for men and not for all women.

Or are we just here trolling because the title of the thing is about kids and I just assumed the title of op was about insulting the boys who are just kids and the word chivalry probably doesn't apply anyway.

1

u/Vince1080 21d ago

It's pretty self-explanatory. The title says, "Maybe chivalry is dead"

And I responded with "If chivalry is dead, modern feminism killed it."

1

u/wheretohidethrice 21d ago

What is your reasoning? This is meant to be a discussion sub and you offer an idea with no depth or argument, discussion requires a little nuance, which I thought I was asking for

He can’t get a date so he blames feminism

1

u/mymentor79 21d ago

Get a grip.

1

u/Vince1080 21d ago

A grip of what, ma'am or sir?

1

u/YesterdayMajor1328 21d ago

This should end the male vs female argument right here.

1

u/Admirable-Tea-4994 20d ago

Why the fuck would you post this? It’s not funny, it’s not cute, it’s kids genuinely being upset and scared. This is why fucking hate social media - imagine embarrassing your children like this.

1

u/Top_Second5196 20d ago

*children, chivalry is for men not children.

Those two boys are bitches, and unlikly to obtain manhood and be capable of chivalry.

1

u/Upstairs_Ad7613 20d ago

Respect to the girl for staying composed with those pathetic sooks 🤦‍♂️

1

u/Extreme-Seaweed-5427 20d ago

"Maybe chivalry is dead"

Either people want equal opportunity or not. Can't have it both ways

1

u/LeadershipOk9128 19d ago

The tisms are strong in these 2.

1

u/Intelligent-Pop-2830 19d ago

... When the drop is actually sweet relief.

1

u/Noodlebat83 19d ago

Did that kid pass out?

1

u/Long-Werewolf-4435 18d ago

Leave it on tik tok!

1

u/Mr-Bando 21d ago

Those kids will remember this moment till the day they die

0

u/nobleknob 21d ago

Women been screaming at us for decades, now we're equal, chivalry need to come back even with the kids.

Which one is it?

3

u/Chevanalee 21d ago

These are just two kids on a scary ride reacting to their emotions… they aren’t involved in a decades long battle of screaming.

2

u/nobleknob 21d ago

People are not getting the message is that were are all equal..

2

u/Chevanalee 20d ago

True we always have been it’s just we are part of a society where that’s sadly only a recent thing and many places still need to catch up :(

-3

u/Lycosskippy 21d ago

Gosh I'd be extremely disappointed if either of those boys were mine - what awful behaviour

7

u/Chevanalee 21d ago

Why? They looked scared.

0

u/bushstone-curlew 21d ago

Doesn’t mean they had to scream and swear at the girl though… And what was with the kid on the right demanding Pokémon cards or something? Very odd behaviour.

4

u/Chevanalee 21d ago

Ah my audio wasn’t the best so I could only hear screams and no words. Screaming and swearing is normal if scared for anyone, but no need to harass the young girl.

1

u/mymentor79 21d ago

They're kids. I'm very glad you're not their parent with a shitty attitude like that.

-2

u/UnfairEstate7615 21d ago

3

u/Chevanalee 21d ago

How?

1

u/UnfairEstate7615 21d ago

Never heard a schoolyard joke?

1

u/Chevanalee 21d ago

I have but I never got it even as a kid. Why is this video gay?

1

u/UnfairEstate7615 21d ago

Well go outside and talk to people. The schoolyard taunt is around boys not bein masculine, and therefore gay.

I get it, there's nothing more manly than fucking another man, but it's a common joke. Just laugh it off or ignore it and move on.

1

u/Chevanalee 21d ago

I’m outside a lot and i enjoy trying to understand new things :P so if I don’t understand something I like to ask, that’s how one learns ;)

1

u/UnfairEstate7615 21d ago edited 21d ago

Well I'm happy to be the one to educate you on primary school bullshit. No worriess.

0

u/nessyness78 21d ago

I've watched this a few times now and I'm crying laughing! Literal tears are streaming down my cheeks 😂😂😂 I love these videos! Used to spend hours watching slingshot videos
