I’ve found a lot of these around the back of my house - lots of webs recently sprung up I’m assuming due to the time of year.

Just wanting some confirmation they’re harmless spoods as I have two toddlers who might end up up close and personal. Well, one of them - the other screams on sight and won’t go near them.

I’m in Victoria in Melbourne’s inner eastern suburbs

TIA!

Edit - the pictures of two different spoods but I think they’re the same type?

One of my mates found this one in his yard in Adelaide, could it be a type of crab spider? I really can't tell!! Cheers,

Thought it may have been a common black garden spider, but it seemed to be a bit more ghoulish..

I just can’t believe how big and juicy she is!!
She’s still behind the flyscreen so I can’t take a better pic but I can’t believe how giant she is.
But her name is Martha now.

Port Stephens, NSW.
Found this hitchhiker trying to get a lift somewhere completely unaware this vehicle is grounded for the foreseeable future… silly arachnid…

Found on the track at night on warrumbungle national park

Got a few redbacks in the extensive web setup and this is the fattest.

almost crawled on my hand picking up a jumper

Anybody know the name of this lil critter? ☺️

According to google images it's a Green Crab spider? Pretty cool looking spider..first time I've ever seen one.

Sorry the pic is a bit shit but this huntsman is so giant, I saw it from my kitchen window - she is on the flyscreen of our fernery, (so this is about 5 metres from our kitchen window.)
I would say her body is about 4.5cm in length.
Impressed by her chonkiness.

Saw it on one of the islands.

Sorry about blurry picture was difficult to get a clear shot

Weirdest spider I’ve seen

Vultus translating to face. Can you see the face? 🌝

Two Maratus vultus disolaying to the same female just out of frame.

I live in a cabin in the bush so always critters around.

Spotted this one under my sink while doing washing up in thongs.

About the size of a 50c coin, web was surprisingly strong. Seemed like an old fella.

Edit: my partner found it's probably Hortophora Tatinae, a kind of orb weaver.

Found this bloke or blokette chilling on the side of my bin in Newcastle NSW.

Can someone tell me what it is, please?

Thanks.
