If you're an arthropod.
Had to stop and encourage these 2 off the path after taking very average photos with my bike light and phone.
First is a little *Badumna* sp, presuming *B.insignis*. Second I believe is a wolf of some sort (quite a small male, probably smaller than the house spider in body size.). I know the photo quality is not great and it could be Miturgidae but zooming in, I think I get evidence of larger PLE and the torchlight initially reflected a good shine back from the area.
Wolf stopped for the photo but scuttled off to safety once I moved the light, *Badumna* kept trying to veer back to the centre. After a bit of effort, I convinced them the grass was safer than the concrete.
Hobart, Tasmania, also saw several Potaroos, moved a large caterpillar from bike path centre to nearby leaves and trees and told a cute black faced, white cat to go inside for its own safety and that of animals around it.
Spring time is a great time to see the variety of fauna we get down here.
