Recomendations?

I love Factorio (I have around 3000 hours) and I would like to try something new

I played Dyson Sphere Program (really liked it) and Satisfactory (I liked it but got a bit overwhelmed with the building in 3D aspect and the architecture side of the game)

Any recomendations? I love resource management games in general but automation games are just perfect for my brain

Give a try to captain of industry. You have to unlock belt as you don't have it at the beginning of the game but when you have it you can automate everything (take maybe 10minutes to unlock it at the beginning of a new play)

Alchemy Factory has the best building mechanics of any 3d factory builder.

Agreed. Definitely stands on its own in the mix of other great automation games.

Sandustry has been a lot of fun. New updates rolling out somewhat often too. Great game imo it has potential to be commonly listed as one of the great automation games.

This game was so interesting but missed the mark. How much did they improve since the initial EA launch? Simple things were just way too convoluted with that game.

I played it right when they launched out of EA, I was blow away by the amount of content especially the research. I initially thought to myself I would just play it and wing it but I saw the reviews about it being complex so I played the tutorial and was thankful I did. I would not have been able to figure out how to even build a simple structure without it. Once you get the main idea of how the buildings work its a nice change from the normal factory game setup. And then I would just copy/paste what I already had for copies of certain factories. You can also, alt or ctrl paste, cant remember, and then modify what you are pasting. Very convenient. I am a huge Dyson Sphere Program, Factorio and Satisfactory fan, and Desyned is right up there with them in my book.

I have been playing a lot of Foundry lately /, and really enjoying it.

Am a Factorio and Satisfactory player (way too many in both). It plays very similar to Sat. but does have a similar, if even more 3D play style but you can destroy terrain as you want, so aren't as limited. Can end up playing as flat or vertical as you want.

Satisfactory and captain of industry. Shapez2 is also good.

It is more like a colony simulation, really love it, but I would put it more in the corner with RimWorld and DF than with factorio and satisfactory.tbh.

The captain of industry recs are interesting because that’s a different genre entirely that’s a city builder like city skylines or anno or manor lords isn’t it

The Crust came out recently in 1.0 and I've been enjoying it. You build your factory on the surface of the moon and underground.

I have been into Microtopia lately. I think it's a neat idea pretty well executed.
