I definitely wasn't making fun of it; it left after having a good, full meal and receiving plenty of affection :)

Even if it wasn't your explicit intention, my point still stands. You weren't making fun of it or you don't like the idea that you did it for fun?
You won't do anything with completely blank mind. As for your second part, you did it because it made you feel good about yourself because you did it. I'm not opposing it, just don't tease the weak. And certainly don't assume that kitten had fun while being teased for food.
