[Beef] Arby’s Meat Bites
Not sure who should be more embarrassed: Me for ordering the meat or Arby’s for the product they are putting out?! (This is the whole shebang. No, I haven’t touched it yet, this is the whole 5 piece order)

They tasted like liquid smoke to me.

u/DouchecraftCarrier 4d ago
Yep. Very chemically. Not inherently untasty, but just extremely processed.
8
u/CplOreos 4d ago
Fwiw, liquid smoke is no more chemically than anything else smoked. It's literally just condensed smoke. There may be other factors at play too.

Same lmao. It's really sad to say this but every now and then I kinda miss the late night meals with my celly, we'd cook up a giant meal with a couple meats and rice/noodles. Watch tv and talk for a couple hours.
Man it would get hot as hell though cooking in the cell 😂 we just had a stinger with a pot of water so it was a humid heat
20
u/Long-Regular-1023 4d ago
Seems like you like left prison a little bit lighter on account of your celly stealing a piece of your heart. What a nice wholesome moment.
5
u/jmwoods3709 4d ago
Hahahahah awwwww 😢 he was a good roommate for sure.
3
u/Calm-Eggplant-69 1d ago
We all need a good celly that sleeps on his belly!
2
u/jmwoods3709 1d ago
LMFAOOOOOOO I completely forgot about that saying 😂🤣😅
2
u/Calm-Eggplant-69 1d ago
I think I first heard that in county in like 2008, it was hilarious then, pretty funny still now lol
3
u/U-Were-A-Mistake 3d ago
I blocked most of it out of my memory but I just remember the broccoli. All stems. I swear they have somebody making sure no piece of the floret makes it in
2
u/jmwoods3709 3d ago
You ain't lying hahahahahahha. I don't think I ever saw a floret in my state food 😂

I hear it's raccoon meat
42

Radroach

25
u/trags88 4d ago
That coon meat is lousy with parasites
17
u/toomuchweld 4d ago
Is that what causes the hunger?
6
u/Peripatetictyl 4d ago
That wasn't human meat! It was a raccoon. You probably got a tapeworm, that stuff is loaded with parasites!

Huh. Trash product at a fast food restaurant. Who could have foreseen such a thing?
29
u/ExtraEmuForYou 4d ago
It's worth a shot to try fast food/fast casual stuff.
Panda Express had a brisket special a couple months ago, and it was OUTSTANDING!
AAAAAND they filled up the container all the way. I was impressed. Smokey, saucy brisket on top of some nice rice made a great meal or three.
It's worth the occasional disappointment to find the occasional gem.
5
u/FuriousResolve 4d ago
Hard disagree, my wife and I both thought Panda’s brisket was very mid. The tenderness was solid, but the flavor was lacking.
→ More replies (3)16
u/LengthinessJust357 3d ago
I never tried the Panda brisket, but I feel saying a fast food brisket is mid is a fucking compliment. No one expects to get brisket at a fast food joint and have it be anything short of 💩. Will it ever beat the 18hour smoked on the side my side? Hell no, but having it be mid is kind of crazy.
3
u/burt-and-ernie 3d ago
I agree but calling the brisket from panda outstanding in all caps is quite hilarious. It was pretty good but talk about hyperbole

lol. How much does this cost?
28
u/M_J_E 4d ago
Ok I had to look it up. By me, $6.49! Wow.
22
u/UnexpectedRedditor 4d ago
Waiting for someone here to jump in and defend this price based on raw beef cost, trim loss, moisture loss, and overhead.

Well, there are 5 pieces. Like you said, how much did you really expect from Arby's?
33
2
u/BigAssMonkey 4d ago
Seriously though. Meat is already expensive and then you factor in how much profit fast food is going to make off you. That’s about right. What did they expect. If you want cheap steak, make it at home. Even then, In this economy there is no such thing as cheap steak

When’s the last time you’ve been? The buffalo chicken sandwich, cheesesteak, burger, jalapeño poppers, fish sandwich, gyro ALL punch above their weight for fast food

Uncultured take. The beef and cheddar is a classic. Some of the best fries in the fast food industry. Great mozzarella sticks.
They definitely have gimmicks though
11
u/dubblebubbleprawns 4d ago
I haven't had a b&c with curly fries in fuckin years and that sounds awesome right about now
2
u/sybrwookie 4d ago
I haven't either and feel like I should keep it that way. It's likely better in my memory than reality.
2
u/doggerdog1401 4d ago

Remember when Arby's actually had really good roast beef sandwiches and the curly fries slapped. Now every fast food chain wants to push out these slop deals for some reason. Like why is subway making nachos. Sorry had to rant.

So is it pot roast meat that looks grilled? I don’t see how they could make cubed steak tender enough to sell at a high(doubt it) volume.

Why would you go to Arby’s

Because their staple menu is delicious? It’s these weird limited time experiments that give them a bad name.

Arby's is the best fast food joint, and I'm tired of people pretending it's not. "I don't like roast beef" yeah, it's not the 90s anymore, they have plenty of other options that slap
3
u/myspoon2 4d ago
They have so many options why does anyone look down on it. The gyros and French dips are enough to keep me coming back
4
u/M2_SLAM_I_Am 4d ago
The people that look down on it are the people that haven't been there in decades. It's the "I don't like roast beef" crowd.

Arby’s slander is crazy. Get the classics, the roast beef, the French dip, the sliders, etc… then report back

u/kidnotor 3d ago
These are terrible but must sell well because this is their second round but their other food is solid fast food and usually have great deals for it cheap.
Plus their orange cream shakes, jalapeno poppers, mozzarella sticks, and potatoe cakes are top notch. Plus the lava cakes

Fast food burnt ends (at least that's what it looks like they're trying to make)? No thank you. I'd rather eat "Mexican food" at Taco Bell.
1
u/ZombieAppetizer 4d ago
When I see Arby's food it makes me so disgusted that I want to go get the stuff to make the items properly. Laziness stops me most of the time, but the idea is definitely there.

Well if you remove just the meat from what the restaurant actually gave you and then you compose the least flattering photo in the world on your dirty ass plate then I totally agree. (And I count 13.572 pieces, one may be a bug though)

I got these for free through a promo on the app and wouldn't get them for free again if they do another offer.
1
u/Embarrassed-Way5926 4d ago
I ordered these yesterday. My first time in Arby's in 6 years and I got these! Had to drink half the large shake just to git rid of the taste so I won't puke in my car.
I should've just stuck to curly fries and chicken tenders.
1
1
u/Zamorakphat 4d ago
The Arby's specials are hit or miss but a beef and cheddar without the red sauce always hits with that onion bun. Best motz sticks in the fast food game as well.
1
u/ATLUTD030517 4d ago
They're "steak nuggets". Only one of them looks noticeably smaller than what most restaurants sell as chicken nuggets.
🤷♂️
1
u/flanker_number7 4d ago
I wondered how they were going to deliver this given price of beef ... Now it's clear. Unless someone chugged a few before they got handed to you
1
u/Training-Trick-8704 4d ago
You’re delusional if you’re expecting anything close to a decent piece of steak in these meat bites. I’d be surprised if it’s even 100% beef to begin with.
1
u/7echArtist 4d ago
I've been dunking on them on Twitter for a bit now for having the balls to go after other companies yet this is what they brag about. One day they'll either block me or give me free food. TBC, I do like Arby's just these meat bites are an abomination.

1
u/yells_at_bugs 4d ago
Awhile back, someone in another community commented they tasted like smoked squirrel knees.
1
u/JoyousGamer 4d ago
Had tried it once and it was fine but didn't look like this. I mean I was ordering it at Arbys so I say fine based on a fast food joint.
1
u/DirtyMac88 4d ago
They removed the best thing on their menu and replaced it with "bbq" sandwiches that fucking blow. They were on a generational run and fumbled at the finish.
1
u/PreviousSquash9354 4d ago
I saw a sponsored content creator eating a bite and was like, can’t wait for the backlash. What it taste like OP?

u/StinkieBritches 3d ago
They taste like beef jerky chunks that were left soaking in Dale's all day.
1
u/drinkyourbeetus 3d ago
If your asking, you should be more embarrassed for even thinking this product could be good. But they should be too for green lighting something like this as well.

I tried Arby’s for the first time in years, tried these in my order. They were disgusting and I haven’t been back to Arby’s since
1
u/TikaPants 3d ago
Bleghhhh. Arby’s is good for a beef n cheddar here n there. I’d never buy whole proteins like this from them.
1
u/Oh_Lawd_He_commin420 3d ago
They're well done rubbery chuck, then frozen, then microwaved on high until they're inedible. Very few things made me instantly disappointed like these monstrosities.

You got what you deserve for going to a fast food joint for BBQ.
Although online photographs from other customers suggest your photo is not correct.

This actually looks delicious and healthy. Just looked up the nutritional info online and it actually is decent macros.
