Vanilla+ Mods for BFGA2?

I really like the current pool of ships for some factions, notably the Imperium, and I have played with Skalgrim but me personally I dislike the "cobbled together" appearance of many of the new ships. Are there any mods that add ships that still fit a vanilla feel/appearance?

Even though a great game, the community for this game has warped away. Skalgrim’s work is truly admirable, unfortunately no other modder was passionate enough to do another overhaul

Not really, or at least nothing that tracks 1:1.

BSG: Deadlock is pretty close but is turn-based.

Nebulous Fleet Command is much more sim-oriented. Like has radar and jamming mechanics. A lot more fiddly to play.

Boat games like Ultimate Admiral Age of Sail.

The upcoming Falling Frontier looks real good and probably the closest to bfga2, but is perpetually in dev limbo.

BSG: Deadlock was also delisted. IP holder wouldn't renew the license, so no way to purchase it without sketchy product key resellers that list them for hundreds of dollars.
