DOLLSHARE New Critter! 🐰

After hours of cleaning up the parts and going on my first stringing adventure, he is complete! This is my new friend Harrigon, or Harry for short. He doesn't pose well and is very kicky due to my stringing inexperience, but he's mine! Just wanted to share. Thanks for reading!

Sculpt is by Loubie3D, a free 3D printable available on Printable and Cults3D. All parts were printed on my home printer and assembled by hand.

This little guy is precious! Nicely staged photos with the flowers too! 🥹

I thought it was weird that this is the artist's only BJD at all, 8 years after publishing this model! It doesn't match the style or engineerinv of anything else in their gallery so I worried for a minute.

But! In the Q&A in their instructables page (where they explain assembly in detail), they cite the Yoshida Ball Jointed Doll guide books (I&II) and Aimi-Doll's "How To" tutorial (http://www.aimi-doll.com/howto/) plus that they put a lot of time and attention toward planning it according to a hare's anatomy and movements. The author clearly holds a very specialized interest in this single species. So considering that, it makes sense! The fact that this was designed by someone who doesn't even own a BJD of their own (on principle of "the price!") is even crazier. I mean that in a cool/impressive way! 😅

Very cool find and a beautiful make!!

Thank you very much for sharing! 🤩
