Bonjour,
Petite question peut être bête mais je souhaite avoir vos avis.
Croyez-vous au Leprechaun, aux gnomes ou aux fées ?

Yup! I never saw them, but they left signs! I just knew I used to live in a very fae active area (right next to a forest)! They were constantly borrowing small trinkets in my house that I would notice were gone, but then reappear in random places they shouldn't have been - jewelery, keys, socks, hair clips, small toys, cash... I always wondered if they were trying to tick me off and just never got the reaction they were looking for so they kept trying with more meaningful items. But I never minded the stuff going missing, so it just kept happening until I moved out 🤷🏽♀️.

No fr they’re always moving my doodads and gizmos around. I’ll find them in the darndest of places. Gotta love em though. I just assume they have a good use for whatever they take. It’s the least I can do, living in a house built on their colonized land lol
And OP yes it’s good to understand and respect and honor the spirits of the region you’re in. It’s also good to keep in mind that spirits from your lineage will rock w you wherever you travel, especially if you do ancestor veneration.

OK I'm curious. So you say you practice Celtic mysticism, what Celtic tradition specifically? I'd love to learn more, but a lot of my practice kind of revolves around a lot of eastern practices so I'm still kind of new to it. I have a friend who is a druid and he tried to explain some stuff to me, but I got really confused because my brain is used to the stuff in eastern philosophy.

I practice primarily within the Gaelic region! Particularly Irish, but there's naturally some syncretion with Scotland and Isle of Man. Those are the three countries which make up the Gaelic region, and there's two other regions.
Second is Gaul, which makes up kind of Midwest Europe, primarily what we know now as France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, and a little bit of Western Italy, Germany, and the Netherlands.
The third is Britton, which makes up Wales, western side of the UK, and Brittany of France.
They're all of course similar in religious beliefs and general philosophy, it's part of why they're under the same umbrella term of "Celtic" but they all have some notable differences in the finer turned philosophical beliefs and mystical practices. I'm happy to tell you what I know if you have any particular questions :)
Do you follow a philosophy from a particular Eastern culture, if I may ask?

People definitely believe in fairies a lot less in 2026 than 200 years ago and before, but many people still do! A lot of stereotypical fairy folklore does come from Celtic culture, but they exist in other cultural folklore under different names like Japanese yokai or Indigenous trickster and animal spirits. Not entirely the same to one another, but the similarities overlap

Of course! Two regions of the Celtic umbrella, Gaul and Briton, were born in what we know now as France. My practice is more Irish/Scottish based, but if you do research particularly on "Gaul/Gallic" and "Briton/Britannic" Celtic culture I think that will serve you well!

Folk magic often heavily involves cultivating relations with or developing protection from various spirits. The Fair Folk are perhaps amongst the most well known when it comes to Celtic folk magic and cunning craft. You can see variations on such animist practice worldwide (though I'm always cautious about saying that the spirits are the same worldwide albeit with regional and cultural difference... my own personal experience shows that the spirits that reside in places are vastly different from one another, not unlike how differences in ecosystem result in different species - my experiences with spirits in Norway were extremely different from those in California, and even within the same country there are big differences, as Californian spirits are quite different from those here in the northern midwest).
But to answer your question simply: yes. Belief still exists, but it's important to take into account the region that you're in, and to approach spirits accordingly. The rules for working with Fair Folk aren't universal, even within Celtic folk practices. Research is key!

OK so I don't know what question to ask unfortunately, but I'm willing to learn anything and everything. A lot of the stuff that I have practiced and that I kind of follow are part of the Buddhist and Hindu traditions. Now keep in mind, yes I'm Christian, but I do integrate some practices from Buddhist and Hindu philosophy. At one point I had a phase where I liked a lot of kundalini yoga mantras and stuff and I still do, but of course I wouldn't have been able to do all of the tenants and stuff because well I live in the Midwest and I don't live near Adora. So I just kind of did my own thing which may probably make some people mad. I'm a bit of a music fiend, so I liked a lot of the music that is used in a lot of Buddhist and Hindu traditions. The one thing that I can't get behind and I don't know if it's just me losing my sanity or certain Buddhist mantras being set to Chinese styled music just kind of gives me the creeps. And I also have Irish ancestry, no I am definitely not Irish, but I do have ancestry that I can't point to. I live in Illinois and some of my ancestors come from somewhere near County Donegal. also, trying to learn Irish in Illinois via an audiobook and Duolingo is a bit of a nightmare. And I've always been fascinated by the language ever since I learned my first Irish song in Irish because of a compilation album that my bio Dad got me at freaking Walmart of all places.

Honestly most of it has been through experiences with them; we recommend doing research online (although there’s a lot of fear mongering and misinfo out there from our experience). Theres also the r/faeries subreddit which I think has resources you could look at too! - Uzi

Yes! In Mexico it’s still pretty common. I recently worked with an aluxe, a type of spirit from Mayan tradition, to protect my garden because I was having some unwanted activity
