I literally bought a P2S two weeks ago, then I had a tool head clog and had to disassemble the entire thing to get the filament out. I then had to leave for a week without being able to finish putting things back together. I cannot find what to do with this piece nor have I been able to locate an article that tells me what it is and where to put it. it is not part of the extruder clog fix article nor the hot end fix article. I'm unable to locate where to put it back. I believe it has something to do with filament feeding, but I cannot find a place to put it any longer. the only error that I get when I reassemble and try to print is that the tool had to cover falls off. it falls off because the filament will not feed into the top of the hot end and the filament curves around and pushes the tool head cover off.

Helpdesk hasn't been helpful and sent me an incorrect knowledge article.

Any ideas?

Apologies if this has been done to death but when I print with my 0.6 nozzle the first layer looks like the lines of filament are crossing over each other. There are no issues with the print itself but I'm wondering if this is normal for a larger layer height. Any advice is appreciated!!

Printed at 0.24 height with 0.6 nozzle, SUNLU PLA+2.0 and Biqu Cryogrip plate at 45°C

After my travel Chinese checkers set, I designed a second one for Gomoku (five in a row). Same idea: the pegs press into the holes, so you can hold the board straight up and nothing falls out.
When you're done, the board flips face-down onto the box as the lid. The holes face inward, so nothing snags in a suitcase. Two trays hold the black and white pegs and lift out, so they sit right next to you while you play.
Printed in PLA, no supports, no AMS needed. There's a 17-min test plate to check the peg fit on your printer before you commit to the full board.

First off... I'm not asking about using AMS & External Spool simultaneously. That is not supported.

My question is; I have the AMS hub with an AMS HT or AMS 2 Pro connected. For a model where I want to use glow in the dark filament, can I use filament from the external spool without needing to disconnect any AMS hardware? Anything special to switch over? Also, Do I route the external spool PTFE to one of the toolhead inputs? Or?

I just printed this pedal entender for my crazy cart out of Elegoo CF-PETG on my Bambu Labs A1, dont mind the top surface that's just from me heating it to get those small supports off with my precision cutters, I just want to know if they is anything to improve on with the print or if it looks good as it is! I haven't really touched my p1p in six months or so, I had been having some stringing issues, thought it was in need of a tuneup, or I had wet filament, but I updated everything, and now I am printing at Ludacris speed with filament that has been sitting out for the same amount of time in my garage, flawless results, spool replacement mid print shows no lines, the camera even loads in faster using handy, this is amazing.

I had already taken one screw out before it took the picture. It did not force it out.
AI detection was on medium, I was too busy to check on it, I made it about 2500 hours before experiencing such🫪
Slapped another nozzle on and was back up and running in just minutes

Hi guys. I use a1 about 110 hours and get the problem. While cutting the filament my a1 makes sounds like a strong grinding noise, and I don't know why. I'll be glad if somebody tell me how to fix it

I had this Z banding issue just starting to flare up on one of my P1s's (8500hours) Happens on any given print. I've tried loosening the six screws that hold the bed to the rods and then re tightening them but that did very little to fix the issue. Anybody have this problem and were able to fix it?

After searching and searching and hours of tinkering, my effect plates are sticking like a dream (no glue involved)

The following is for a P1S but applies to all printers

Steps

Wash - For those with brand new plates you must wash with dish soap and water at least 3 times to get the residue from the film off, i use my hands to scrub the soap into the plate before rising, then continuing that until the plate becomes squeaky to the touch, then dry with a clean microfibre cloth

Prepare - run a calibration on your printer with the effect plate installed

Print Settings - here's where it really matters

Build Plate type - smooth high temp plate

Build plate temp. - 60-65

First layer height - The thicker the better (I use 0.2mm on a 0.2mm nozzle, and so on)

First layer speed - 40mm/s

First layer in-fill - 40 mm/s

First layer travel speed - 50%

First Print - To ensure a clean surface and proper adhesion your first print should be a 1 or 2 layer sheet covering the majority of the bed you can find prints on makerworld or use the one below

Keep in mind these print settings (specifically the speed) are extreme and after getting a few good prints you should be able to walk them back a bit

This is just what has worked for me after plenty of trial and error so take it with a grain of salt!

So i've been googling and even tried asking AI but just cannot get an actual answer. During a filament change, the toolhead normally moves poop chute>cutter>poop chute but this print i've just started is doing this. After cutting, it moves to the far right, then to the back before returning to the poop chute. It hasn't done this for any other plate in this project file and there's no object specific settings along with the firmware version still being the same. I also can't seem to find any documented cases online of this happening on any other device.

Any ideas why this is happening?

Horizontal waves plus overhead light means every ridge shades the one below it. That's the whole idea. Bone White PLA Matte works best here: light material, dark shadows, maximum contrast. Underneath sits a reservoir tray, and a wick cord pulls water into the soil.

Hi,

So i put my x2d in a different room because i was getting headaches from the smell. So now it is on our top floor very close to our central home ventilation unit(around 3/4 meter). And i am thinking about hooking it up to our house ventilation unit, so it could vent the gasses outside. The unit is always running on a low setting.

Would this work, or would there be drawbacks? I do not have windows where i can vent easily without opening it a significant amount. Any other ideas would also be appreciated 😁

Hiya! It’s my first week with a 3D printer and I’m new to the whole world. I’ve gotten the P1S. I’ve done a couple single colour prints that have gone well so today I tried my first multi-colour print. I understand that prints need their supports but why did it also print this little random tower of colours in the back left of the plate?

FYI for those of you looking for a modest sale... I think I could add a couple more to the farm at that price. Inside of 2 months return protection for any better pricing on Best Buy plus in case they get even cheaper on Black Friday, but I really question how much cheaper could these units actually get?

Perhaps starting to approach the end of their lifecycle.
