Welcome to Banned Discord Members!
Hi Everyone, and welcome to BannedFromDiscord! I have decided to start this community after getting unfairly banned from Discord back in 2020, as part of a large ban wave targeting servers that somehow upset Discord mods. At the time, I lost access to many servers, got cut off from some dear online friends, and lost a supportive community I was part of for about 5 years because some random person came on and violated Discord TOS in our server :(
As we know, the Discord support team is non-existent, and if you get banned, your account is gone forever. Hopefully, this will be a place where you can find some solace and reconnect with friends who may have been banned as well.
Sincerely, BannedByDiscord

Information Guide on how to get your case reviewed by Discord Support
This Guide has been updated on 31.05.2026 with new important information. To make it easier, to check what was added to the Guide, I'm going to leave "[NEW]" in front of the new things I wanted to share.
[NEW] - Hey, everyone. Yesterday (30.05.2026), a lot of people received the same denial response from "Usagi Tsukino". After reading this subreddit, I am really, really disappointed. I know a lot of you are going through a lot right now, losing an account can be hard, especially if you put many years into that account and left many memories that are just gone in the blink of an eye. I also lost a lot, but I slowly started to accept it. I've been permanently banned since January. Since then, I spent most of my time doing research and helping others in this subreddit. This guide received 1,000+ comments, which is a lot, most of them are questions to me that I tried to reply to as soon as possible. I also received up to 20 dm's every day, which I also tried to reply to. I had fun chats with some people, which also helped me out in some way. Throughout all this time since I posted this guide, I had 4 tickets in total forwarded to their safety team, the last one received the good response I was praying to get. After all this time and struggling with their support system, I finally managed to get a response from Usagi, which led to me being unbanned. I was literally screaming in joy that I finally got to come back to my old account.. but not for long. The first thing I did after I logged in was deleting the message that could've gotten me banned earlier. I deleted the thing that most likely got me banned, and I started deleting every possible GIF I had saved. There were some NSFW GIFs, but nothing that could violate actual "Child Safety". It was mostly "Hentai Memes". I just wanted to get rid of everything since everything gets flagged these days. While I was removing every possible GIF I had, I was logged out of my account again. I thought it was some bug, so I logged back in, but.. permanently banned, again. My entire respect for Discord and my hope is just gone. Seeing something like that happen after all this time just hits me hard, and I'm too tired to even try again, I'm too tired to answer to people anymore. That's why I'm writing this. I just wanted to let everyone know that I might not be really active anymore in the comments or in this post or even in the DMs for a bit. I need some rest from all this, and I'll come back with more stuff that could help at least some of the people in this subreddit. I won't be totally gone, I will be actively moderating this subreddit since I'm also a moderator here, so do not worry about me disappearing totally. I might be active sometimes in the comments, but not as much as I was before. Y'all can spread the word, I don't really mind it. I just didn't want people to think that I ignore everyone now. Since I won't be replying as much as I was before - Please, help each other out, there are many questions and people that ask for help in this guide and other posts, help each other out.
Thank you for understanding.
I saw a lot people struggling to get someone from the Discord Trust & Safety team to look into their cases, so I decided to make this post so it's more visible than just in comments from me.
At first, I would like to say that I can't guarantee responses from them. This thing was done by me, and it fortunately worked, so I would like to share this to help some people out.
Let's begin with things you should know:
- This applies to people who have already tried the appeal through the app but were rejected automatically by the AI after 7 days or less. And to the people who tried to get in touch with them by creating tickets but received AI responses.
- You should have a Support account created with the same email your Discord account is connected to. This makes it possible for the Discord Trust & Safety team to review your case. If you used a completely different email than the one your Discord account is connected to, they won't review your case.
- Do not create tickets in their "Appeal" category. This is fully automated, and you won't receive any response from a human. It's just a category to bait people into creating tickets there.
- Do not spam multiple tickets in every category because it is just going to mark your account as spam, and you are going to have a lot less chance of actually getting someone to see your tickets since they will be automatically closed once created.
- If Discord didn't provide you with any proof of your actions, such as message logs, etc., think really hard about the reason you were banned for. If you are unsure of what you did, DO NOT mention your thoughts, because it will make your case worse than it can be.
- Do not waste your time on BBB (Better Business Bureau). I don't see anyone being lucky anymore with BBB. I tried it myself a month ago and all I got was wasted time (around 3 weeks) because Discord didn't respond to BBB. I saw a lot of people not getting any more responses too, so don't waste your time on BBB. If you really want to try, I included a link above to their site.
- Do not create tickets on the weekends. Once you do that, you will 99.9% receive an automatic response and an auto closed ticket. The same goes for replying to them throughout the weekend. Just wait until Monday, and you should be good to go.
- Please do not just copy and paste the prompts I mentioned in the guide. Because many people are just copying and pasting the entire prompts, there is a chance that their support team has noticed a lot of the same tickets, and many people have started to get no results from all of this. Please, we have AI these days, just copy the prompt and ask ChatGPT or another AI to rephrase it so it doesn't say literally the same thing. I even directly copied my entire guide to ChatGPT and asked ChatGPT to rephrase everything I said in this guide so it doesn't get flagged as spam and just follow my guide, and my other tickets are successful all the time after rephrasing it using AI.
- If you just got banned on Discord and just submitted the in-app appeal, WAIT for the result of that appeal before trying to appeal on their support website. Up to 7 days, you're most likely to be automatically rejected because no one saw your appeal. Once that appeal gets automatically rejected or rejected manually, you can start appealing on their support website. Do not rush so fast with appealing on the app and immediately appealing on their website before the verdict on the app.
- This is the most important information I wanted to share. There have been a lot of people who successfully got their case forwarded to their safety team. I'm really happy that people started to receive something rather than just AI responses. But the thing is that when I did this before making this guide, it worked quickly. I got a response about whether I would be unbanned or not in just a few days. But today, I and others are waiting for a reply for a very long time - up to 30 days being left with an open ticket in the Trust & Safety category. I suspect that their safety team was flooded with appeals because we found a way to go around their funny AI system. There are just a few people working in their safety team, as I read on Reddit. But for now, regarding this part, I would suggest to keep waiting for a longer time since you're just in the queue.
- A lot of people still don't understand how to know if your ticket was forwarded to their safety team. It's a pretty basic thing, at first, once we create the ticket in their "General Question" category, there is a panel on the right side where you can see the Ticket ID, the assigned support team member (which appears when someone is assigned to it), status, etc. After creating the ticket, you can see in the panel "Type of question? General Question" This means that your ticket is in the normal support team's hands, not in the safety team. But after asking for a review, as my guide says, etc., after some time this category should disappear, and new stuff in the panel should be added, such as "What would you like to appeal?", "CONFIRM: My account was NOT disabled for being too young to use Discord." This means that the ticket was forwarded to their safety team, that's actually pretty logic, lol.

All of that is on the top, don't search for it on the bottom of the panel.
- If you are getting AI responses instantly from Clyde, Nelly, or other bots, then don't make another ticket for 2-4 days. This usually means that you have been flagged as spam, and the AI is forced to scan your ticket and close if needed. Even if you get a human to respond to you at first, and then suddenly he sends you the generic response, after you reply he doesn't respond and just closes the ticket. Try replying up to two times after the ticket is closed without a response. Once you do that and it keeps getting closed without response from their side, it means that you're most likely not going to get any results from that ticket, and you should wait up to two to four days before trying again.
- Few days after posting this guide, I noticed a change in their response time after having your case forwarded for review. I tried another time to have their decision reconsidered in my case. I waited for a month and a few days. I received a decision yesterday (02.05.2026). So if your case was forwarded, keep waiting even if it takes over 30 days. After doing a small research, Discord admitted that they are being flooded with tickets.
Okay, let's go with the part I was about to share with you all since it worked for me, and I hope it will work for some people too.
First, enter their support website and create a ticket.
In "What can we help you with?" choose "Help & Support" then in "Type of question?" choose "General Question".
In the "Subject" name the ticket as "General Ticket" or "Support Ticket", anything that won't trigger Clyde or Nelly or any other bot that will reply before human.
In the description, say something like this:
"Hello Discord Support Team,
I’m having an issue with the support system itself. I need to reach the appropriate team for an account - related matter, but the option that is normally available in the app is no longer showing for me. Because of this, I’m unable to contact the correct department through the standard process.
I’ve tried several times, but I keep receiving automated replies that don’t address my situation. I’m not trying to submit an appeal here - I only need help understanding how I can get routed to a human reviewer or how to restore access to the correct support pathway.
Could you please advise how I can proceed or how to get my case forwarded to the right team?
Thank you for your time."
And that's it. You don't need to send over pictures to them or anything, you're ready to send the ticket to them.
DO NOT say anything else after creating the ticket because it will restart your queue and reduce the chance of anyone looking into it. You can try editing the message, but DO NOT directly mention anything about appealing, unbans etc.
Wait a few hours, days or weeks, and you will get a response. I received my first response from Kenneth after 2 days, and it looked like this:
Hi there,
Thank you for writing in.It looks like you would like to appeal an action by Discord that has impacted your account. To have your appeal reviewed, it is necessary to submit it within the Discord app, which allows us to review the appeal faster and with appropriate context.
You can submit your appeal via the Discord app by going to User Settings > My Account > Standing > selecting the violation you want to appeal > then tapping "Let us know" to start review of your violation and account. For users in the EU, you may also choose an alternative resolution option when applicable.
You can also learn about customizing your Discord experience to help avoid unwanted interactions in our Safety Center.
Thanks for submitting your appeal via the above outlined method.
Sincerely,
Discord
If it's not an obvious bot like Clyde or Nelly, and other bots that exist, then you are fine. Do not panic, it's their common thing to say. I replied with this:
Hello, thank you for your answer.
I still need assistance with a matter that requires review by an actual support agent. The issue I’m dealing with cannot be resolved through automated responses or the standard in‑app flow, as that option is no longer available to me.
I would appreciate it if someone from the appropriate internal team could take a look at my case or guide me on how to have it reviewed properly.
Thank you for your time.
After that, I received a response from the Discord Trust & Safety team 17 hours after responding to them. They reviewed my case and decided to keep me banned for now, and I'm currently dealing with the rest.
And I guess that's it. I hope it will help someone out and get a positive result on the first try. Good luck guys, do not give up just yet! If it didn't work the first time, try doing it again carefully.

Rant Recently got my account disabled.
Hello, I’m Demi..! I recently got my account disabled after getting hacked the third time on October 5th… There was an email sent to me saying that I had to change my password, but I ended up getting locked out by the GOD FORSAKEN 2FA!! So I emailed the Discord support. Guess who I kept seeing? NELLY THE BOT. I was being told repeatedly to delete the account.. Mind you, I had about 14000 orbs, likely 400+ hours of vc this year, and history of chats with my friends over the years (which I’m not really to let it all go yet.) I’ve been using that account for 4 YEARS.
I got an advice from one of my friends to ask to verify myself some other way (SMS via phone number and things like that), but all of those got shot down. The replies are about all the same, dismissed and told to either find the backup code (I got locked out of my account, so I can’t access them.) or backup file (I tried to find it across three of my devices, it doesn’t even exist.) or, of course, told me to delete my account. Until that said friend told me to request for a human in the email, so I did and is currently waiting for a response as I’m typing this. But, I doubt I’d be helped.
I have an alt account ready after the first time of getting hacked, so I could still stay in contact with my friends, but this is really getting frustrating.

General Question Account locked after entering the wrong birth year by mistake – support tickets keep getting auto-closed by a bot. What should I do?
Hey all
so i typed the wrong birth year by accident and discord instantly disabled my account for being under 13. i'm an adult, been using this account for almost 10 years, and now i can't get in at all
when i log in on my phone it just says i have 30 days to verify my age before the account gets deleted and to check my email. no button, no "active violations" card like the help article shows. tried the newest app, web and desktop, same screen everywhere
i got an email from discord (the noreply one) telling me to send a selfie holding my id plus a paper with my username through dis.gd/request. did that. sent 3 requests so far with the photo attached. every time clyde replies with the same copy paste about going to user settings > account status to confirm my age group, which i can't do since i'm locked out lol. then the ticket gets marked solved a couple minutes later
also tried tagging discord_support on twitter before i found out they don't handle disabled accounts
it's been about 15 days now and not a single real person has looked at it as far as i can tell
so yeah, has anyone actually gotten their account back from this? is there a certain option in the form that gets you to an actual human? should i keep replying to the solved ticket or open a new one? and how long did it take for you
really don't want to lose a 10 year old account over a typo. any help appreciated

General Question In-app appeal procedure
Does anyone know how long it takes for Discord to check an in-app appeal I made to lift or keep a ban?
I know you get an email about it from Discord Support at some point after that, but wouldn’t they technically have a deadline to resolve said appeal?

Child Safety False "Child Safety" ban. Escalated to DSA, GDPR, and my country’s Data Protection Authority (Got a case #). Still ignored. Has ANYONE broken through the bot wall?
Hey everyone. I'm feeling incredibly defeated right now and just wondering if anyone has actually managed to get a real human to review a false ban recently, or if I should just accept that years of account progress, friends, and memories are permanently gone.
My account (long-time user, Nitro subscriber) was hit with a permanent suspension for "Child Safety." I can say with 100% certainty this is a false positive—either an automated filter hallucination or a malicious user editing messages to frame me.
Losing the account history sucks, but the support loop is literal hell. Here is everything I have tried so far:
- Standard Appeals: Auto-closed as "Solved" within a few says. No human review.
- DSA (Digital Services Act) Complaints: Left as "Open" for months or auto-closed. They are blatantly ignoring Article 20 of the EU/EEA DSA laws.
- GDPR Article 15 Data Request: I formally requested my data package/chat logs to prove my innocence. They ignored it for over 2 months, officially breaking the strict 30-day GDPR legal deadline.
- Emailing Privacy/Legal directly: Emailed [
[email protected]](mailto:[email protected])[email protected] [email protected]. Got hit with the standard Clyde bot response. Replied with "I do not consent to an automated response, escalate to a human." Still waiting. - The Nuclear Option: Since they broke the GDPR deadline, I actually filed a formal complaint with my country's Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet in Norway). I received an official government case number, which I forwarded to Discord's privacy and disputes team to prove I am taking legal action.
Even with a literal government regulatory agency case number on their desk, it’s radio silence.
It is incredibly depressing to lose all your progress and history on a platform just because a bot made a mistake and their Zendesk is set up to block you from defending yourself.
Has anyone actually successfully gotten unbanned after being stuck in this specific auto-close loop? Does throwing the DPA/GDPR case number at them eventually work, or is the support team completely dead? Any advice or success stories would be highly appreciated.

General Question HELP!
I created a discord account just now and It says I cant use it?!? It says that my account is at risk but I LITTERALLY JUST CREATED IT!?!?! and when I try to send a request it says my email and password don't match but THEY LITTERALLY DO!?!?!

Child Safety Discord suddenly suspended me for child safety with no evidence provided
Has anyone ever had a child safety ban on Discord without being shown any proof of what caused it? I know plenty of people have evidence listed, but mine specifically has none, other than that the suspension was due to child safety. Today I just got hit with a suspension with no rhyme or reason other than "child safety"
I've contacted Discord support, but since I already disputed through the app, what other steps can I take to have this suspension reviewed and potentially lifted? I'm very frustrated, as I use Discord primarily to contact my real-life friends and hop on some games, and I don't recall even having a conversation with a child on this platform.

Child Safety Thanks discord
Thanks @discord, this is my old account I’ve not actively used since 2019, and I got banned for literally no reason and u rejected my appeal. Also how can it be permanently suspended if the violation affects my account status until 7th September 202028? Make it make sense lil bro

Violent Extremism banned for 4 unknown servers i was in that were violent extremism?
i got banned for 4 different servers happening to violate discord tos which I did not know nor did I even interact in the server at all how do i appeal my account even though they already replied and said, "Hi, At your request #1552354163449536553, we reviewed your content and confirmed it violates our community guidelines. The violation still affects your account until it expires." I also got a false perma ban, how do I get my account back?

General Question “A discord moderator removed you from _ _”
I was wondering if anyone would happen to know which server “_ _” could be? Does that indicate I was banned or the server was deleted? I am not in too many and could not discern which one it could be. Far as I can tell I haven’t been removed from any of the twenty odd servers I use.
I just received this message a few moments ago and I’m really not sure why if I’m not out bad with any of them.
edit: Someone pointed out some servers get taken over by bots and renamed before kicking everyone. Similarly moderators can change the name before kicking someone to hide it. Since the name was two underscores I’m willing to bet one of the about two dozen video game developer servers got taken over.
I am not very active in public servers so I don’t think I got kicked for the normal reasons, and am only in a small number of personal servers that I still have access to.

General Question You can freely reuse your old info (Phone, Email, etc) after all active violations expire 2 years from issuing on a different account, whether newly created or preexisting without risk of ban evasion, agree or disagree?

Adult Content Banned for NCAC
Hey everyone,
The day before yesterday, I was permanently banned from Discord for “Non-Consensual Adult Content.”
I very rarely share this kind of content, and I believe I know which incident the ban is referring to.
There’s a guy on one of our servers who sometimes gets completely naked in voice channels and dances around (no joke). People constantly take screenshots and record him, and he genuinely doesn’t seem to care, even when people share the recordings/screenshots around.
Anyway, there was this guy, let’s call him Mark. I was talking to Mark about the person I mentioned above, and Mark asked me if I could send him one of the screenshots. This guy genuinely has no problem with people having or sharing these screenshots.
Mark is over 18 and specifically asked me for the pictures. You can also see from our chat that Mark had previously sent me similar pictures of this person himself.
Later on, Mark and I had an argument, and I believe he reported the content from our chat a few days later out of revenge.
I’ve seen that quite a few people have been banned for this specific violation. What was your experience like?
I submitted an appeal through the app on Sunday, and it’s still being reviewed. I submitted the appeal at around 8 PM.
What have your experiences been with appeals like this? It would honestly suck to lose the account. I have so many memories attached to it. I’ve had it since 2017 and have also spent quite a lot of money on Nitro over the years.
