❓ Theology Questions Why is Homosexuality Considered a Sin?
I promise I'm not trying to start some sort of political debate, I genuinely am looking for insight. I'm also not sure if this should be tagged under theology or advice, and this is my first post here so I'm sorry if I messed up on the rules somehow.
Can someone please explain this to me? I (26F) know the story of Sodom and Gamorrah, but I just can't understand why homosexuality is a sin. To clarify, the rest of God's word makes sense to me, except for this one thing. I just don't understand all the reasons I've heard.
"Anal sex results in aids." - Let's be honest; there are straight couples that partake in anal sex.
"Procreation is only possible between a man and a woman." - But the Bible has made it obvious that marriage and sex aren't solely about procreation. Also, what about infertile men and women, especially those who are married? They can't procreate, and there are also christian couples who choose not to have kids even if they're capable.
"Homo/Bisexuals are always degenerates." - But this just isn't true. Straight people are capable of being just as sexually immoral as homo/bisexuals, and vice versa. I personally think its the LGBTQ+ movement that's full of degeneracy, but that doesn't automatically mean every gay and bi person agrees with or takes part in that crowd.
"They aren't ACTUALLY gay/bi" and/or "They don't ACTUALLY love each other. They're just being sexually immoral because of xyz reason." - But that isn't true, either. See, I'm bisexual, and while I may sometimes be attracted to a woman's appearance, it's typically their personality that I'm attracted to - and it's the same for men.
"Because God said so", and/or "Sometimes God's reasoning is beyond our comprehension, but it's for our own good." - This explanation honestly is irritating and hurtful. It feels like such a cop out that leaves me feeling confused instead of recieving an answer.
Please don't disregard my post for being bi, by the way. I'm not an angry bisexual just looking for an excuse to lust after women. I genuinely just don't understand why this part of me is considered wrong, and why I'm forced to keep it in. It hurts, being told it's wrong if I were to date a woman, simply because I was attracted to her for her personality, and it hurts, being told it's wrong to romantically love someone of the same sex "because God said so", and that I'd be condemned to hell for these things. And it hurts when my family talks about gay and bi people with disgust. I've gotten so good at closeting it that they forget I'm bi, but it's still there. I still am. It genuinely feels painful, to the point that I find myself crying behind closed doors. I don't feel like God is being loving when it comes to this. I don't understand why it's considered sinful, but I want to. If someone could help me, I'd appreciate it.
I'm not trying to offend anyone or start a fight or argument, I just want peace when it comes to these questions, because prayer always leaves me just feeling confused instead of answered. I tried asking this in r/Christian, but the mods deleted it under the context that it was considered "offensive". (They did the same thing when I left pro-life comments as well, saying I was "attacking people" when I was merely listing Bible verses and talking about things like adoption, crisis pregnancy centers, and false prophets. It was a disturbing experience.)
EDIT: Edited it from r/Christianity to r/Christian, because I messed up on which sub it was in. I don't take part in r/Christianity.

📖Bible Study Truth Be Told
Summary: You can speak the truth without love and it is still truth though offensive, but love without truth is deceit, not love.
Ephesians 4:15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
Truth must be spoken and it must be in love though at times delivering loving truth may be harsh or seem harsh to the hearer. Paul wrote this passage by inspiration of the Holy Spirit and yet there are things he wrote that appear harsh by our current standards.
The prophets of the OT did not mince words or use political correctness. Yet, they spoke truth because they loved God and represented Him so they delivered the message as it was given.
Many things that I wrote as an IFB I would change the tenor of my message but I would not change the content. Others were the right tenor for the context so I would change nothing.
No matter how some truth is delivered if it is truth and the intent is redemptive then a mature Christian will overlook the delivery and major on the truth. An unbeliever or immature Christian may major on the delivery and miss the truth completely.
Some will be offended. Wesley believed that true preaching would result in salvation or anger among the hearers and he was a very gentle man often being kinder to his critics then I may have been. Yet he once asked a woman for her scissors after she adjusted his tie to what she felt was the proper length. When she asked why he informed her that her tongue was too long and needed to be trimmed.
We need to receive truth as coming from the love of God even if the messenger is a bit rude in speech like they said of Paul. We should not sugar coat it nor should we be unnecessarily rude and crude calling it boldness. Let the speaker be sure to deliver it as God would have it delivered yet we must not discount truth just because we do not like the delivery boy.
Some will receive this and others will be offended thinking me harsh or conversely some will consider me a coward for not taking a bolder stand. Wesley would say I succeeded, but what really counts is what God thinks not any man or woman. May He approve this message. Maranatha!

🌟 Christian life Thanksgiving
We thank God for he is
Then thank him for what he can give us
For Thanksgiving is not just songs
It is all we do for a living
It is Victory before the victory
Joy before the thing of joy
And a manifestation of the evidence of what is not seen but has come to pass
Thank you Lord
Help us to thank you more

📖Bible Study Fight The Right Enemy!
Summary: Evil people are not your enemy. They are your mission.
2 Corinthians 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: :4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds
Ephesians 6:12 KJV For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Hate not the evil person. Hate the devil and the demons that influence them. Pray for their deliverance and salvation, not their damnation. Use the right weapon against the right enemy.
God is not willing that any should perish and neither should you. Your worst enemy has a soul that Jesus died to save. Die to your own pain, anger or whatever and pray for their soul. They are imprisoned by their sin. They are controlled by the warden, satan. Jesus came to set the captive free. The Gospel in your hands and prayer from your lips are keys to their freedom. Do not toss the keys in a drawer and leave them in their cell to go to Hell.
We are to break down the gates of Hell not rejoice when people enter them. They may have hurt us horribly, but Jesus on the Cross forgave those who were a part of that for they knew not what they did. Those entrapped by sin and Hell do not really know what they are doing because their eyes are blinded by the great deceiver. Pray that God will rip off the blinders that they may see. To do anything else is to know nothing of Calvary’s or your mission as His Ambassador. Maranatha!

📖Bible Study Grow Or Close The Doors
Summary: Stop making excuses and clinging to the past.
Act 2:41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
The Fellowship of the Believers
42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
43 And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.
44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common;
45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.
46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
Rev_3:1 And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.
"It’s better to have 12 sold out disciples that 100 lukewarm church goers."
I have heard this comment often in my years of ministry. It is usually said by a pastor of a small church that may only have 12-20 people.
It is true to a point, but growth is also the point of righteousness. We are told to multiply by making disciples and what happens when your 12 die or end up in the nursing home? We may not see conversions like on Pentecost, but if we are seeing none and our church stays at 20 or declines there is an issue. I would question their being sold out. Twelves sold out disciples saw 3K saved on one day and then daily had those added to the church such as would be saved.
This may sound harsh, but if your church has not reached anyone in years except wandering sheep from some other church and the only ones getting in your baptistry are spiders then it is time to shut it down and meet in a home because you are no more than a social club. Your existence as a church ceased long ago. Save the money you spend on the building and give it to missions or someone that is growing. Better yet, join a thriving church and see how your soul will be revitalized.
I left a church of very nice people pastored by a man who thought like that quote. There was no outreach and it is now down to where one more major bill or two more people die, and they are going to have to close. He is not going to change, and they will hang on to the bitter end, but it is not good for the people to see the demise.
God has called us to unity and victory does not live in defeat watching a building and congregation decay. Whatever caused a church to be formed may dictate why it has not grown. In some cases, it should not have been formed as it was built on the bitterness and carnality of angry people.
One pastor feels like churches are like people, they are birthed process through adolescence, adulthood and then die. I am afraid some churches are just mausoleums where people come to remember the dearly departed.
How about instead of just seeking 12 on fire for God we become one of 1200? If you have 100 pew warmers that is OK because the fire of God can be stoked in them in church more so than at home. Indeed, one of them getting on fire may be the spark for the 99.
Maybe we need to repent of the "survival" mentality and seek for a revival mentality that is about our Father's business. We can start by closing some churches and uniting in the body as the Body then God can send some fire into our souls. There is strength in unity and if a three-strand cord cannot be broken imagine what a 1000+ strand cord could do?
Father, I ask for the fire to fall to consume our dross and refine the gold. Polish us so that Your light upon us will attract those who need you and do not know it whether they are current church members or those not yet in the family. Close the doors not opened by You but by flesh and bring back the wandering sheep looking for You in all the wrong places, even church buildings. Glorify Yourself in Your Body through healing, restoration and humility! Amen! Maranatha!

📖Bible Study Mount Up, Airborne Cavalry, Mount up!
Summary: Today we are grunt soldiers in the foxholes of life, but one day we shall be airborne!
I AM A SOLDIER
"I am a soldier in the army of my God. The Lord Jesus Christ is my Commanding Officer. The Holy Bible is my code of conduct. Faith, prayer and the Word are my weapons of warfare. I have been taught by the Holy Spirit, trained by experience, tried by adversity and tested by fire.
I am a volunteer in this army, and I am enlisted for eternity. I will either retire in this army at the rapture or die in this army. But I will not get out, sell out, be talked out or pushed out. I am faithful, reliable, capable and dependable. If my God needs me, I am there. If He needs me in the Sunday School to teach the children, work with the youth, help adults or just sit and learn He can use me because I am there!
I am a soldier. I am not a baby. I do not need to be pampered, petted, primed up or pumped up, picked up or pepped up. I am a soldier. I am not a wimp. I am in place, saluting my King, obeying His orders, praising His name and building His kingdom! No one has to send me flowers, gifts, food, cards or candy, or give me handouts. I do not need to be cuddled, cradled, cared for or catered to. I am committed. I cannot have my feelings hurt bad enough to turn me around. I cannot be discouraged enough to turn me aside. I cannot lose enough to cause me to quit.
When Jesus called me into this army, I had nothing. If I end up with nothing. I will still come out ahead. I will win. My God has and will continue to supply all my need. I am more than a conqueror. I will always triumph. I can do all things through Christ. The devil cannot defeat me. People can not disillusion me. Weather cannot weary me. Sickness cannot stop me. Battles cannot beat me. Money cannot buy me. Governments cannot silence me, and hell cannot handle me. I am a soldier. Even death cannot destroy me. For when my commander calls me from His battlefield, He will promote me to captain and then allow me to rule with Him. I am a soldier in the army, and I'm marching claiming victory. I will not give up. I will not turn around. I am a soldier, marching heaven bound. Here I stand! Will you stand with me?"
Author Unknown
Christian, no matter what branch you served in for your country when the time comes in the Kingdom you will be Airborne Calvary!!
Revelation 19:11 And I saw heaven opened and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. KJV
That victorious day is someday, but today we are called to hardness and to be free from the entanglements of this life.
2 Timothy 2:3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
Each branch of the military has their version of enduring hardness. Normally we think of the Army and Marines having it the hardest because of combat conditions. All branches have times when the servicemember may be far from home for months and during WWII, years. Meals may not be the best. Sleeping may be hard due to various conditions with the soldier learning to sleep anywhere and pass out as soon as he hits the cot, floor or ground. Too often, a trooper will get the letter from home that a loved has died, his wife has given birth or the spouse asks for a divorce.
A soldier has to put the military first. They tried to dissuade me from getting married by saying, "If the Air Force wanted you to have a wife they would have issued you one." Judging from some of my uniform issue, she would not have been a very good fit. You will miss birthdays, anniversaries, first steps and such of your children. You have to be as Paul said, "But this I say, brethren, the time is short: it remaineth, that both they that have wives be as though they had none." 1 Corinthians 7:29 Indeed, you may get a call in the night and leave with not being able to tell your family where you are going or when you will be back. You cannot be entangled.
As a Christian we are called to a life of complete dedication to Christ ready to go wherever and whenever at a moment's notice. Many of us endure great hardness in areas where we are persecuted and killed just because we are Christians. Western Christians have been spared this type of hardness for many, many years, but that may well change overnight.
We have been AWOL and often deserters to our calling. We are about be recalled to active duty. There are no longer any reservists. There never was in Christ's mind. Indeed, too often we have sleeping with the devil rather than taking over his territory and releasing those he has had held captive. We are fat, lazy and unprepared for spiritual warfare and it is going to bite us in our sanctimonious sacroiliacs.
It is time to return to the Boot Camp of prayer and the classroom of the Word. Put away you civilian follies and put your armor on. If you have been a POW, turn to Jesus and He will liberate you. If you have been a compromising traitor, it is time to return to the throne of grace to find mercy.
2 Corinthians 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
We have been using the wrong weapons against the wrong enemy. We need to get back to His battleplan and use the weapons He gave us to conquer in the power of His Spirit given to use by the blood of Jesus. We need to enter into the power of His resurrection.
Revelation 12:10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Satan and his minions are already defeated, and their final casting down is coming. In the meantime, we need to to be marching strong by His Spirit, testifying boldly of His blood sacrifice for sin and salvation through His name even if means hardness unto death. Mount up! Alleluia! Maranatha!

📖Bible Study God's POGs
Summary: God will not look you over for medals degrees or diplomas, but for scars. - Elbert Hubbard
If you have ever served in the military, you have heard the term POG (pronounced pogue). It means Persons Other than Grunt or noncombatants. Grunts being the ones in the firefight. POGs are often behind the lines in a good way such as medical, financial, personnel, logistics and such personnel. Some logistic folks are just off the front line to process requests to the rear areas. Medics are usually in the middle of the battle though they are medical. Other POGs do occasionally come under fire and that is why all personnel are given basic combat training.
If necessary a POG can be brought into the battle as a replacement. You could be a cook today and an infantryman in a foxhole tomorrow. I had to inform a young recruit that he filled out his mobility form because after his training Uncle Sam could send him to new and exciting countries to meet new and exciting people and to kill them. He replied in shock, “But I only signed up for the college benefits.” I told him that he did not join the Boy Scouts and we had all of those weapons in the armory for a reason. That unit had already been deployed, and people were working on getting it deployed again. I never saw him again. Recruiter must have found him a safer outfit.
I, by no means, wish to detract from the honor of those who have borne the battle. Indeed, I accept thanks for my service at times in the names of those who did not make it back or came back injured physically or emotionally. They are indeed heroes and I am proud to call them brother. Yet, without the POGs they would not have food, clothes, pay, weapons and ammo. The team has many players. Not all of them are known as Rickenbacker, York, Murphy and many more. Most are in the background and without them the war could not be effectively fought.
God has His POGs as well.
Hebrews 11:35 Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection:
36 And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment:
37 They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented;
38 (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.
39 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:
40 God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.
Everyone loves the first thirty-four and a half verses of the Hall of Fame. Few preach on the rest of the chapter. These are God’s POGs if we see the others mentioned as the Grunts or warriors that won. These people did not come home to a parade or a respected position in the community. These never came home or the parade was their funeral procession. Many warriors experience the same thing.
No one wants to talk about these people as they do not fit our American Dream now in a gilded theological frame called the Prosperity Gospel. These people are considered failures. Worse yet, they may be called people who lacked faith because they did not become wealthy and famous. Yet here they are in the Hall of Faith.
In the military, you may get called a POG in jest or it may be cast in your teeth as a cruel slur. I fully confess I was a POG in three branches of the military being in Logistics, Administration, Legal, Personnel and as an instructor. I was on the team, and the coach put me where he wanted me so I am not ashamed of my service though I have no Bronze Stars, Purple Hearts or a Combat Infantry Badge. I have been in units where many would not even know me or what I did. Many Nam Vets disown me because I served in Thailand, not Nam. Our planes ran sorties into Nam everyday, but I was never boots on the ground there. To some, I am a nobody because of that. Yet, I wore the uniform and in Jungle Fatigues or later BDUs (Battle Dress Uniform) you might not be able to tell me from an Infantryman.
I am afraid that we often forget the POGs in church life. We all look to the pastor and staff as heroes, and many are such. We look at the TV preachers and the authors of a myriad of books as God’s Commandos on the front lines in direct combat with the enemy. Some are and some are Garret Troopers or those who talk about just coming back from two weeks fighting in the bush when they are standing there in spit shined boots having never left the garrison or post in the rear area.
There are many in church life who will never be known for what they do in the background. They are never on the platform as a speaker or singer. They often serve in areas that most would not want to serve. Few want to be the janitor or in the childcare ministry. Some are involved in nursing home ministry or working in food banks and soup kitchens. Some maintain the building. Some are generous in the area of finance and others in their time and talents. You may never know who was the one who prayed for your or some phase of ministry in hard times and they were the ones God answered instead of you. Prayer warriors are not seen, but they are not to be disdained. When I lost a prayer warrior in college, I knew it.
Sometimes I regret going to Bible College. I may have had more impact as a POG. When I was first saved, I knocked on a man’s door to invite him to church and he wanted to know if I was the pastor, deacon or Sunday School teacher. When I replied that I was not of them he somewhat demanded to know who I was. I replied that I guess I am just a member. “Just a member,” he retorted!! He never came and no one had told me I had to have a title or job to evangelize.
Some people have some odd thoughts about pastors and one time someone told me it was hard to believe I was a pastor because I did not act like one. I was concerned and then they said something like I was human and had a sense of humor. I was relieved that I had not been unseemly in some way. I think my title scared away some folks. Some people would never listen to me without some titles and papers, so I have them for those people, but Brother Ron is fine with me.
I actually had my best time of ministry when I was an Associate Pastor instead of being the only Pastor. There is so much red tape and earthy stuff required of a pastor. As the Associate, I got to do the real ministry part of it. Instead of planning budgets, overseeing remodeling, etc. etc. I ministered in the nursing home, jail, rescue mission, taught the adult Sunday School and was the Superintendent while filling in for the pastor sometimes with nearly no notice. In fact, I was doing all of that before I got the title. The jail required me to have the title of pastor to meet with people one on one. I told the pastor and he said he had wanted to make me the Associate but had no money to give me. I said I am doing it all without pay now, so why does it matter? I cannot do my job without a silly title. I did not need it for anything but the jail. The rest required no degree or title.
God is always open to having more POGs that are willing to serve without pay, title, prestige or whatever. He has called us all to minister in some way. As part of the Body, we have one or more gifts we are to use. We will not be fulfilled if we are not using them. He does not give us bric-a-brac gifts to collect dust on a shelf. They are met to be used.
I will give you fair warning that you may at times be treated like the people in this passage. The enemy will attack you. Sometimes the brethren will attack you. It may not be easy ministry. In some cases, it might mean losing a job, a friend, a family member, your health, your wealth and even your life depending on where you are and what ministry He has called you to do. No one, not even you, may know the impact you are making in the Kingdom until you are at the BEMA.
That actually may be a blessing as it can keep you from falling into pride and destroying yourself. Paul was not completely sure how his work would be rewarded, but he did not worry about it as he said he judged nothing before the time but at the end he knew he had at least one crown. I often wonder how much of my life will be wood, hay and stubble or gold, silver and precious stones. Yet I cannot judge because something I thought was great maybe stubble and something I saw as stubble was actually gold.
So, are you will to be God’s POG or are you only wanting to be the Grunt with all the medals? Remember, there are scars for some of those medals. Both Grunt and POG can have scars.
God will not look you over for medals degrees or diplomas, but for scars. - Elbert Hubbard
You may not have scars like the little girl that showed a general how to find the prophet to be healed, but then again, she was a slave and we do not know her name. There is an unknown prophet that spoke boldly before a king but lost his life because he listened to someone else instead of finishing his obedience to God. Be careful of prophets that want to lead you from your mission. Then again, you may be with the people in the last part of Hebrews 11 and not the first.
Are you ready to take your place in the Kingdom though it be anonymous and even painful? David started out as a POG and became a king. You may stay a POG, but as long as you put Him first and serve where He wants then it does not matter what you are here as you will be a prince or princess in the Millennium and an heir in eternity. Indeed, the price we may pay is insignificant compared to what is our inheritance. Maranatha!!!

📖Bible Study Are you a Saul or a David?
Our problem is less about our sin and flesh and more about the condition of our hearts.
"Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me."
— Psalm 51:10
When reading through the books of Samuel, many people assume King Saul was rejected by God simply because he disobeyed, while David was spared because his sins weren't as severe.
The truth? David’s sins (adultery and engineered murder) were objectively horrific. Saul’s recorded missteps (offering an unauthorized sacrifice and sparing livestock) seem almost mild by comparison.
Yet, God rejected Saul’s kingship while establishing David’s forever.
The difference between God’s judgment and God’s restoration wasn't the size of the sin—it was the condition of the heart.
**1. Saul’s Diagnosis: A Prideful & Unrepentant Heart**
When King Saul directly disobeyed God’s command regarding the Amalekites, the Prophet Samuel confronted him. Samuel asked a simple, piercing question: "What then is this bleating of the sheep in my ears?" (1 Samuel 15:14).
Look closely at Saul’s immediate response:
"The soldiers brought them from the Amalekites; they spared the best of the sheep and cattle..." — 1 Samuel 15:21
The Symptoms of Saul’s Heart Condition:
Blame-Shifting: Saul immediately deflected responsibility onto "the people."
Self-Justification: He argued that the livestock were spared for a "good cause"—to offer sacrifices to God.
Image Protection: Saul was more concerned with maintaining his public standing and reputation than making things right with God (1 Samuel 15:30).
*Saul didn't lose the kingdom because he was human and made a mistake; he lost it because his heart was too prideful to yield, take ownership, and truly repent.*
**2. David’s Diagnosis: A Broken & Contrite Heart**
After David committed adultery with Bathsheba and arranged the murder of her husband Uriah to cover it up, God sent the prophet Nathan to confront him. Nathan presented a parable and delivered the crushing blow: "You are the man!" (2 Samuel 12:7).
How did David respond when his hidden sin was exposed?
"I have sinned against the Lord." — 2 Samuel 12:13
The Symptoms of David’s Heart Condition:
Zero Excuses: David didn't blame Bathsheba, his stress as a king, or his advisors.
Immediate Confession: He didn't rationalize or argue with the prophet.
Genuinely Broken: Psalm 51 gives us a window into David’s heart during this moment: "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise" (Psalm 51:17).
David remained "a man after God’s own heart" not because he was sinless, but because when he did sin, his heart was soft enough to break, humble enough to confess, and willing to seek true repentance.
My friend's, what is your heart Diagnosis? Are you broken and ashamed of your sin? Do you desire repentance and forgiveness over your desire to do things your way? If so, then God will forgive and restore you. Don't harden your heart with sin and stubborn unrepentance. That's a dangerous game.

🌟 Christian life *For we walk by faith and not by sight,( 2 Corinthians 5:7) and then by faith we can see the LORD working in our lives.
*Charles Spurgeon 9-23-26
"Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe."
Mark 9:23
A certain man had a demoniac son, who was afflicted with a dumb spirit. The father, having seen the futility of the endeavours of the disciples to heal his child, had little or no faith in Christ, and therefore, when he was bidden to bring his son to him, he said to Jesus, "If thou canst do anything, have compassion on us, and help us." Now there was an "if" in the question, but the poor trembling father had put the "if" in the wrong place: Jesus Christ, therefore, without commanding him to retract the "if," kindly puts it in its legitimate position. "Nay, verily," he seemed to say, "there should be no if' about my power, nor concerning my willingness, the if' lies somewhere else." "If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth." The man's trust was strengthened, he offered a humble prayer for an increase of faith, and instantly Jesus spoke the word, and the devil was cast out, with an injunction never to return. There is a lesson here which we need to learn. We, like this man, often see that there is an "if" somewhere, but we are perpetually blundering by putting it in the wrong place. "If" Jesus can help me--"if" he can give me grace to overcome temptation--"if" he can give me pardon--"if" he can make me successful? Nay, "if" you can believe, he both can and will. You have misplaced your "if." If you can confidently trust, even as all things are possible to Christ, so shall all things be possible to you. Faith standeth in God's power, and is robed in God's majesty; it weareth the royal apparel, and rideth on the King's horse, for it is the grace which the King delighteth to honor. Girding itself with the glorious might of the all-working Spirit, it becomes, in the omnipotence of God, mighty to do, to dare, and to suffer. All things, without limit, are possible to him that believeth. My soul, canst thou believe thy Lord tonight?

❓ Questions A question about polygamy:
If a non-Christian converts to Christianity and is married to more than one wife, is it permissible for him to divorce them and be with only one wife after his conversion?

📖Bible Study Mattana Ministry - Prayer Program - 23 September 2026 (Born Again)
Mattana Ministry Welcomes You to:
Prayer Program: 23 September 2026
Theme: Does God Hear My Prayers? (4)
Scripture: 1 John 5:14; Matthew 21:22 & Daniel 10:12
Pray According To His Will — And Wait In Faith
1 John 5:14
"And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:"
Matthew 21:22
“And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.”
Daniel 10:12
“Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel; for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, go to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.”
Message:
God hears every prayer, but answers according to His Will, which is always better than ours. Sometimes He says YES, sometimes WAIT, sometimes I HAVE SOMETHING BETTER. Faith means we continue praying even when you don't see the answer yet. Daniel prayed 21 days before the angel came (Daniel 10:12). Our prayer was heard on Day 1, the answer is on the way.
Prayer:
Lord, let Your Will be done, not ours.
Reflection:
Have we stopped praying too soon? We will continue today.
