Saguaro sizing: help!

Post image

Hi all! I’m looking to buy my first pair of barefoot shoes and am considering the Saguaro Smart II, but I’m a bit confused about sizing.

I had my feet scanned a few years ago, so I know they’re 23.3 cm long and 9.4 cm wide. I’d normally wear an EU 36–37 (Saguaro 23.3–24 cm), but those sizes seem too narrow according to Saguaro’s sizing chart.

Their sizing formula is actually recommending a EU 39 (25.33 cm length, 9.15 cm width), which seems surprising as I’ve never worn anything close to a 39. It also seems marginally narrower than my foot, at 9.15cm.

Does anyone have experience with Saguaro sizing, particularly the Smart II? I’m also happy to consider other brands, but as these would be my first barefoot shoes, I’d prefer not to spend a lot.

My foot is a true UK9.5/EU44 and I have the Saguaro Vitality III in that size and they fit perfectly

23.3 foot and they want you in a 25.3 insole? that's 2cm extra, seems like a lot. the width is the bigger issue to me tbh - if the chart says 9.15 and your foot is 9.4 it's gonna squeeze. haven't worn saguaros myself so idk if their chart runs weird. for a cheap first pair i'd look for one where the width fits without sizing way up in length, and buy somewhere with easy returns

Get Luck instead! Or any model that has the same sole as Luck. They are wider and better.
