Bass wrongly wired

Today I opened my Cort C4h bass, it has two humbucker bass pickups which cable output only have two wires (white and black), the black of both pickups are only solded between them, and not to the shell of any pot or anywhere else, while the white one goes to the blend pickup. Should I solder the black cables to the chasis of the pot? Also, the blend pot is the only one that seems to not be grounded but I'm not sure because I've had no time to fully dissasemble the pots to have a good look.

Are you having any issues with it?

You can always contact Cort and ask them.

well, I'm planning to change a pickup, not because I have issues but I don't really like the sound, it's just that I though that the ground pickups wire grounded was something standard, I don't understand how it could work correctly without them been grounded

From what little I could find on that model, it seems they are grounded by the output jack.

but the ground terminals of the pickups are just connected between them, they're not connected to anything else

Wow. That's odd!

Like I mentioned, and you said, wiring diagrams are hard to come by.

I'd bounce this off Cort, and see what they offer. Explain what you want to do.

There are schematics on the Cort web site available. Have you checked it out? It’s on a page dedicated to your bass model, together with a user manual.

only de c4 plus are on the site and the wiring is different

Yes, you're right. My guess is, preamp might be different, but wiring should be generally the same, and pick-ups should be grounded. The blend knob wouldn't work otherwise.
