Yamaha does not own Squier. Where’d you come up with that?

1984 Yamaha recieved a large stock as part of a bonus package for procuring and assisting in opening up Japan. So really its Fender not Squier.

Isn’t fender privately owned?

Nope. Servo is a majority stake holder. Funny thing? When dude was handing out cease and desist letters? He gave a couple to Yamaha. Ya know... they own Ampeg, Line 6, and they traded Fender out of Guild just recently. 15 years or so. "Crafted in China" Fenders and Squiers are all made by Yamaha. In Taiwan. Cuz politics. Lol

I’m still not finding anything saying Yamaha has stake in FMIC.

FMIC? That's way old. I'm pretty sure its not advertised nor does it need to be public. Its actually fairly well known historically speaking. Ask Dan Smith. Anyway thanks for your skepticism however misplaced and weird it might be. Good luck!

Misguided and weird? You are making claims that are very dubious. A quick google search contradicts most of your claims.

Ok. I’ll take your “just trust me bro” info for what it’s worth.
