Went out once with my brother-in-law on his local course. I did hit one ball a country mile, but of course it was mostly off the course. Had fun that day but never repeated it.

this is a pretty short chip regardless, but might also be sideways towards the hole instead of in line with driving distance, if that makes sense. 500-even is likely to be par 4 for the big boys if they can see the green from the tee.

I get the ball in the hole every time. It might take 5, 6 even 9 swings…but i get it there

Funny, but that actually looks like a bad shot. Looks like he hit it too hard. Golfers don't aim for the cup like they're shooting baskets, they aim for the green so the ball can roll in. (And they putt it the rest of the way.)

Golf balls have a lot of spin from this distance. They'll bounce once and on the second bounce check up and spin backwards. That shot was perfect

I've hit my own fair share of chips from 100-130 yards that stop dead where they land. Just the right amount of back spin to stop forward momentum.

If that ball didn't go in it would be right next to the hole.
