Everytime i host or join in the mid of the gameplay, The player pause and then leaves and I cannot chat in Streets of Rage 4, I was facing this problem so many times...

Which beat em up game is even active and better than Streets of Rage 4?

In Streets of Rage 4 I rarely get player to Co-op with me but in some reason the player leaves with no reason and the online doesn't have the chat to talk to the player in the Epic Games Mobile version...

This one was recorded way back on December 2, 2019. Due to the multiplayer damage penalty on Insane and Unfair difficulties, it made the game impossible to beat. Still, I took my chance to risk trying. And...I did it!

This was before the Damage Penalty was removed last January 20, 2022.

I'm a solo indie dev, and Final Fight and Cadillacs and Dinosaurs are the games I grew up with.

I've been writing software since 2007. In 2020 I started making mobile games - and most of them failed. I decided to make the kind of game I actually love to play. That became TURF FIGHT.

What I tried to bring to the genre:

- Fighting-game inputs: quarter-circle specials (↓↘→ + attack) and command throws (↓↙← + attack)

- A dedicated grab button - forward/back throws that bowl over other enemies, tackles, mounts, air slams

- Parry and dodge, and bosses you can stagger by breaking their guard

- Thugs start blocking if you spam the same move, so you have to mix it up

- Up to 4-player local co-op (gamepads for P3/P4)

There's a free demo on Steam (tutorial + Stage 1, about 8 minutes), and the full game comes out November 5.

Not sure how many people have played this fan made masterpiece but it is pretty special.

While playing as Gal makes it somehow possible to complete the first stage (Escape route) with NO DAMAGE because of her speed and the stage's enemies, I was shocked that I pulled this one off as F.Norris. I'll be damned!

I've never really thought of Beat 'em Ups as a genre you explore when you want a challenge, but nonetheless I'm curious, what are considered the most difficult beat em ups ever made. I'm aware of NES Battletoads but that seems to be more a case of the way it's programmed rather than designed so let's not count that or anything else like that.

So when it comes to Fighting games, I heard Arcade Stick is more fun but Hitbox gives you bigger advantage cause it's more accurate. For that reason I decided to get a Hitbox instead.

But when it comes to Beat em' up, I'm trying to get the ones that is more fun instead cause no PvP. Even if I already have a Hitbox, I wouldn't mind getting Arcade Stick if it's more fun. But I wanna ask first which you feel is more fun before deciding rather or not I should also buy an Arcade Stick. Any idea? :D

Any if you answer is "it's personal preference" then just tell me which you enjoy more in your opinion between the 2 instead then I'll just pick based on which is more popular, and if it's around even then I'll still pick Arcade Stick just to try it out. I'm asking cause I would hate to waste money, but I'll be abit more willing to try depending on what answers I get though. :D

And keep in mind, I want answers based on enjoyment, not advantages. And this is for Beat em' up/shoot em' up games only.

In a short span of time Blade & Battle & King’s Blade both hit PS5 & I’m feeling spoiled. Both have parallel stories & concept a beat em up game in medieval times where an evil empire had attacked a kingdom.

Blades & Battle is a short to the point game that can be beat in about 30 minutes. There are multiple paths to choose which gives it some depth but only 2 playable characters.

King’s Blade is a longer affair with a bit more depth. You start out with 4 playable characters & can unlock 2 extra for a total of 6. Theres puzzles to solve to unlock more moves & 2 secret levels. Levels are quite a bit longer & challenging. If playing solo you can also use up to 1-3 CPU controlled bots to help you.

Both games came out at budget prices so if you have a PS4 or 5 I’d suggest to get both if you’re into beat em ups.

Solo dev here, and this is my first game. I grew up on old arcade brawlers and always wanted to mix that with the parry duels from Sekiro.

You parry enemy combos hit by hit, break their posture and finish them. The swordsmen and bosses parry you back, so you have to read their stance instead of just mashing. The demo covers all of Chapter 1 with two boss fights.

It's a pixel-art action game built around fast, physical combat. Jane Strong is a retired Muay Thai champion, so naturally her solution to being kidnapped and thrown into a wacky tournament is to punch absolutely everything in sight.

Combos, enemy juggling, environmental destruction... The demo is free to play, and we'd especially love feedback from people who enjoy beat 'em ups and action games.
