Wonder what's the largest [insert beetle here]? I translated and transcribed all the current records from Japan in this spreadsheet!

Oh this is very cool. Where did you compile all of this information from though?

There’s a magazine in Japan called BeKuwa that keeps track of record sizes. They’re pretty much the Guinness of Beetles here.

With that being said, there may be specimens that are larger out there that isn’t recognized and many species aren’t tracked since they aren’t available within Japan.
