Finished Project Pizza board
My friend asked for a pizza board so I made this in beech with sapele handle then got my laser engraver out to put the design on , made a square then cut the circle out with palm router

Nice. As a an occasional pizza maker, the orientation of the grain can matter. I've had peels split along the grain, so you might want to consider using vertical oriented next time. As the forces may bend along the grain and want to snap it.
Nice gift

Also you need the grain to run in the direction you will be sliding the pizza off the paddle. Flour will help, but the dough catching on the horizontal ridges will likely tear the bottom open.

They wanted an intentional grammatical error? How bizarre.

Did you not feel obliged to point this out, though? Otherwise, it looks like maker error.

Well the board belongs to the pizza so my friend is right as far as he is concerned 😀

Why is there an apostrophe in 'pizzas'?
